The only time I smell mine is when it in the garage at idle. It doesn't bother me. I'm an old guy and remember the days when there were no smog emissions. It smell like being at the track! The sound will be louder for both if you have a CAI vs stock intake with or without drop in filters. I don't have to do emissions where I live so I went with ART pipes and now that I'm pretty sure I'm going FI, I'm glad I did.

I better just do the HFC's so I can pass emissions. They are pretty strict here where I live. I'm going to put in a order with Fast Intentions for their resonated HFC's on Monday. I already have intake and cat back. Should I get a tune after the HFC's to get the most out of them???

Lol mine don't smell as much as when I had non resonated test pipes. The first week if you buy them new, it will smell quite a bit when you're stopped at a light or something. A week or two later though the smell goes away and I don't really smell it anymore, unless of course you're parked in a garage idling. The smell itself isn't too bad once it's broken in, smells better than my friend's GTI with test pipes and M3 with cats lol
