ART, new tune or not?

I'm having ART pipes installed next week and was wondering if I will need to be re-tuned. Thanks

If you got the coin do it. Maximize your gains.

I agree, but can it wait, any chance of damage? Just don't have the extra coin right now. Unless I have no option and it has to be done, I will find the $$$

It doesn't need to be tuned, especially if you are already running a custom tune. Worst thing that can happen is a CEL, but you can turn that off in Uprev anyways.

No need to tune, the ECU can re-learn and adjust itself.
Been driving the car for a year with complete exhaust bolt on minus the headers. The car runs just fine...the problem with having a tune is if your tuner doesn't know what he is doing it can even mess up your AFR further.

Well I have a friend that has GENIII's and art pipes and a straight threw exhaust not sure what it is but when he went to get a tune his ecu didn't compensate enough for the mods and he was dangerously lean. So it is up to you if you only have the ART pipes then I would not worry about it to much but if you have CAI or full exhaust I would. I'm scared to drive my car because I have GENIII's and AAM 2.5 S-Line midpipe and muffler delete. But I have the software just not got a tune yet. So it's up to you if your strapped I saw wait unless you have other mods.

From what I've read and understand, the reason it goes lean is that CAI's will often throw off the MAF readings being fed to the ECU.

Thanks for the input. I guess I'll drive it for a week or two without and see how it feels.
