Accuracy in terms of repeatability can be gotten on any dyno -- HOWEVER, there tends to be greater variability from shop to shop (i.e., dynamometer unit to unit of same brand) in dynapacks, mustangs, and other load holding dynos, which tend to have a great deal of variation in calibration parameters.

I personally prefer dynojets simply because the degree of variance from unit to unit is negligible. It just calculates speed of rotations of the known and constant weight of the drum (roller) and then interpolates torque.

That means (transient factors, such as ambient heat and humidity not well accounted for by correction factors, notwithstanding) a dynojet reading from one part of the world is much more comparable to findings from any other dynojet anywhere in the world, whereas the same is not found to be true for most other dynos, all of which may be calibrated a bit differently.

I'd be pretty happy with 400 crank hp on a NA bolt on Z. These things react to mods equivalent to a V8. Exhaust, intake, and tune... boom. That will hold me over until the decision to go FI.

I know this is an old thread but I saw this video on their Facebook page:https://m.facebook.com/powerhouseamuse
It says it puts down 400ps with just an exhaust and their hi-tech ROM

How legit u think this is?

Its probably power at the crank, not the wheels. Makes more sense that way. Plus its Dynapack

BTW I think my headphones are broken from listening to that video...

Not even crank HP with exhaust and tune only. Total bullshmidt.

400 crank hp = 352whp with 12% drivetrain loss. no way is that car making 352 with just exhaust and tune. i think the highest NA on this forum was 342 and that was with a lot more than that

where are you getting only a 12% drivetrain loss? That seems awfully generous. Looking at stock dynos drivetrain loss seems more like ~18%

Wouldn't the loss be more like 18%? 332 chp stock but we normally put down low 270's. So 400chp would be 328whp. 328 is more likely.

A lot more parts but also incorrect correction factor. That 342 is more like 328 if you want to get technical.

lol hey i'm trying to help them justify that 400 number.

so 18% loss then.

400 crank hp = 328whp... idk this number might be attainable with those mods and a generous dyno.

Someone just reminded me about something. You might be right on the 12% loss. We only assume 18% because everyone dyno's in 4th which is the wrong gear. If everyone did 5th the stock numbers would be higher since its a 1:1 gear and 12% would be right since you'd probably put down around 280-290 stock.
