AEM dryflow filters question
Ok so my brother gave me two AEM filters and I figured I had no need for them but then I entertained the idea of just putting them on just like JWT popchargers. I only have stock intakes, no drop ins or anything... Would these pick up a few hp at least? Would there be any downside to just throwing these on? Comments are appreciated.
No Andrew I don't want any BS response from you either lol :rofl2: |

Back to business, they might be more free flowing than OEM boxes, but they'll be WAIs (warm air intakes) The stock intake boxes get pretty cold air from the atmosphere, so beating that is difficult. You MIGHT gain a few (1-3HP), but if you choose to install them, make some sort of heatshield like the JWTs, or don't install them at all |

I did read in someone elses thread that had the popchargers, that they do get a little warm... I got them for free so I might as well try to put them to good use if possible. |

Then they also have a Venturi filter and the intake itself has a curved surface to smooth out the airflow from the cone. (The Venturi thing is supposed to make air move much quicker through the intake or some BS like that) I'd try installing them for shitz n giggles, maybe so you hear the engine more, not for the sound increase |
