I'll say that the 30whp I gained with the PPE's and exhaust untuned is a good indicator of it's performance. There was no break in or learning period, it was installed and dyno'd immediately after. Every Momentum header dyno I've seen has been tuned. I think the whole argument is nonsense though. We are fighting over peak numbers and haven't even looked at the rest. Both the PPE and Momentum collector are very similar. The other differences are the stepped design and physical length of the pipes before merging. PPE's are matched to the RPM of the engine. Momentum headers are amazing though, I'm just have a difficult time believing that it would outperform the PPE's given the same conditions.

i would like to see a dyno chart of a car running test pipes, cat back, and tuned. THEN see how much hp the ppe headers can add (tuned again of course)

basically, i like the headers, but don't know if i will see much gain over the 326whp i am currently seeing with stock headers and tp's

I understand, and all dynos read different. They are both good products, and both seems to produce like numbers. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if some of the hype for momentum was due to the fact of left over inventory... Either way they both make power over stock, and the end result is .

I was not trying to cause strife, just pointing out that the momentums make close to the same gains if not equal to ppe. And lets face it. A tune does wonders for throttle response and the drive. But again we are talking peak HP (which honestly doesn't mean anything) torque should be the only thing people are concerned about as it is what makes your car "fast". Anyway, i have only ever seen a tune turn up an extra 3-8 peak WHP on our cars. We will have a better idea when i get my car on the dyno before and after tune.

.....My dyno before and after tune. Tuning was done at 9pm at night so it was cool out and weather did not vary between the 2 1/2 hours of tuning. I was the first 370z hes ever tuned so its not a great graph. Gains are good and even throughout the powerband. Just needs to smooth it out.

I stand corrected! Thanks for the info

No problem. You should get pretty significant gains from a tune also with all the mods you have done. Probably doing like mine was and just running stupid rich with a forced 10.5:1 AFR for safe mode. Your gains will probably be better then mine with a more knowledgable tuner. Like I said, I was his first 370 hes ever tuned.

Well I would say from what I have seen at least 20whp with your current setup and adding PPE lth and a tune

Agreed, if you aren't tuned yet, then with the PPE's THEN a tune, I could see a pretty big gain. If you are already tuned and swap to PPE's you may see a 5-10whp. Test pipes are one of the largest gains on our car which you already have. People who swap to PPE with stock cats and headers see massive gains mainly because the cats are being removed.

I agree with the assessments. It's not the biggest bang for buck mod, but with your CNT exhaust, it should kill any rasp. Then it really starts to sound bad ***. It's kinda like the whole "on weed skit" "Ever heard Motordynes exhaust? Ever heard Motordynes exhaust on PPE's?" Kinda like that...
