Your stuck with shorties if you want to keep the stock cats. If you do not mind HFC's with long tubes, then you have a few options. 1: Motordyne E370 with HFC option, 2: Motordyne XYZ Y pipe with HFC option, 3: Fast Intentions CBE with HFC option. If you are sticking with shorty headers, save the coin, only the Momentum DE headers really make powerand they won't mate with the stock cats, doesn't help they are out of business too and you would be on Z1's time table for the new ones to be released. The stock headers are really good for shorties FYI.

E370 is an exhaust. So with that, the only option to run long tubes and some sort of cat would be the XYZ Y pipe with HFC, but that will only work if your Stillen Y pipe is the same size as the stock one. It will run about $550 for the Y pipe and HFC.

What state's emissions test do you have to pass?

I see you guys are discussing different brands in regards to long tube v shorties and hfcs and exhausts. I realize cats have to be at a certain temperature to operate (and the 02 sensors have to be located in relation to them) but you could still weld the cats into place anywhere in the system.

Stillen only makes shorty headers and are not worth the price, let alone install costs. Power isn't much more than the stock shorty's. Their HFC's are fine if your looking at them.

In reality though, that Motordyne Y pipe engineering and build quality is superior in every way compared to the Stillen Y pipe. If you want to see pics of it, I have it in my build thread. It's connected to my Tanabe Medallion exhaust. I also use long tubes as well.

Long tube headers means no cats since the long tubes replace the stock shorties and cat locations and mounts to the Y-pipe. as stated earlier, you can weld cats in farther down the line if you want to hack up your exhaust.

The only manufacturer of long tubes for the car is PPE Engineering and Fast Intentions. If you wanted to continue to run a catalytic converter without welding, use the Motordyne Y pipe and HFC option. HFC is from Motordyne as well. The rest of your exhaust would still be Stillen. Whether it's cheaper or more expensive to buy HFC's and get them welded on, idk. I'll break it down so hopefully you get a better understanding.

FACTORY: Headers/catalytic converters/Y pipe/stockexhaust
YOU CURRENTLY: stock Headers/stock catalytic converters/Stillen Y pipe/Stillen exhaust
YOU WANT: Long Tube Headers/HFC/Stillen exhaust

OPTION 1: PPE or F.I. long tube headers (stock cats removed)/ Motordyne Y pipe with High flow cat option/Stillen exhaust
OPTION 2: Same as above but you keep your Stillen Y pipe and weld HFC's on to your existing exhaust.
OPTION 3: Stick with stock headers and buy HFC's from Stillen as you prefer them anyways.

Also budget in the header install! Unless you plan on doing it yourself. Its a super long job, and a huge pain. Im about 5 hours into my install and i only have one heat shield off...

How do you like the sound of your stillen exhaust? I am trying to decide if I should go that route..
