Hey Z1. ETA on those headers?

Eagerly awaiting these. Any updates?

Romulus1 02-01-2013 12:51 PM

Maybe message them?

TheGreatOne 02-02-2013 01:55 PM

You talking about the momentum headers they are doing?

Yutnaka 02-02-2013 03:42 PM

I was just a Z1 today. I asked Rob and Jon and they said it will be in about 3 Months. I rode in the Z1 car with the momentum headers and the real nismo exhaust and it was unreal. I will be definately getting those headers once they come out!

Good to know, thanks for sharing. Can't wait

Eighties Meta 02-03-2013 12:49 PM

I think would want these as well provided they bolt up to what I already have. 3 months seems so long but it would be perfect timing for summer ;)

Hotrodz 02-03-2013 03:36 PM

I'm right there with ya. Got a trip planned for Europe in early May to visit my daughter. It would be awesome to get them installed while I was there!!!!

Yutnaka 02-16-2013 08:47 AM

For people who are eagerly waiting...I thought i would share a post from Z Atlanta...

Yeah..they posted after a few tweaks it was over 330whp. Thats on a nismo exhaust. I wonder if i could hit 340 with the aam mid pipe and short tails....:driving:

TerribleONE 02-16-2013 03:54 PM

Remember its all what your baseline #s are and what you gained unless you would be running on the same dyno..

Yutnaka 02-16-2013 07:03 PM

I will be running on the same dyno..l am 7at which might make things interesting.

stock cats?

Yutnaka 02-17-2013 09:33 PM

Stock exhaust minus cats. Its on test pipes.

chrischhorn 02-17-2013 09:39 PM

ummmm........6th gear pulls? Won't that make your dyno numbers show higher, also? Our 1:1 ratio gear is 5th.

Yutnaka 02-17-2013 10:04 PM

Those headers show time and time impressive gains on any dyno. Rob pointed on one of the posts on FB that the car baselined at 271... With the headers, tp, nismo catback, tune, and intake it make 336whp. Every dyno is different as well.

I have my car at the shop this week getting tuned and dyno'd with momentum headers. Ill post the results

Yutnaka 03-26-2013 04:16 PM

I am z1 today and inquired about those headers. They said 6-8 weeks. They plan to have one set ready for ZDayz.

Sweet! Did they quote a price by chance?

Yutnaka 03-26-2013 07:21 PM

No they didnt quote me a price.

Joepro 04-01-2013 10:36 AM

Pricing will be intresting...this will be an in demand product, but how high, eh, probably not that much. Mostly DIY'ers is my guess because shops charge an absorbanate install fee, I have not done a 370 install, but did my 350 headers in my driveway. took me 4 hours with hand tools, in a shop, with a good tech, 2-3 hours tops. I would be willing to spend market price on them, meaning what everyone else is charging, if they try to gouge, forget it, I will put the money towards a blower.

Zythaxus 04-01-2013 04:52 PM

they are quoting 11 hours for the header install...its a rough one :ughdance:

MD-370z 04-03-2013 10:15 AM

I want to stay all motor so lookin for highest power gain so I will deal with the install. Hoping these will be done soon !

Longtubes took about 12 hours.

Zythaxus 04-03-2013 11:28 AM

Changing the 350 one might not be as Much of a pita as the 370, since he has said he hasnt done a 370 yet

But then spohn usually knows what he is talkin bout

Joepro 04-03-2013 11:40 AM

Sorry, did it...The passenger side on the 370 looks like a breeze, the drivers look similar to the 350. I am slighlty more mechanically inclined that the average diyer, I do all my own work on the car, only thing I do would not atempt is internal engine work, I would just be too mad if I messed something up. If you plan and prepare, have the knowledge and road map of what your are doing, it no sweat. ok, does 4 1/2 sound better? I wasnt explicently monitoring my time to the minute. most said 6-8 hrs on the 350z fourms, all people I know that should not have been attempting it. My hands were also cut to s*&% I have a scar on my right hand from it.

jack the car up- 5 minutes
drop test pipes and y, 10 minutes.
take off intake - 5 minutes
take off steering shaft- 5 minutes
head shields 15-20 minutes ( just break the bolts off, they are not going back on)
about 2 hours to get the darn things off.( had to take off coolant pipe too, this was kind of a pain)
hour to hour an half for complete assembly.
drink 10 beers.

I've done both. They are both exactly the same.
