Hey Z1. ETA on those headers?

Dang, they finally got released! I wonder how long the introductory pricing will last. It's definitely a good price. It's too bad they don't fit 370Z test pipes. How much

It's too bad they don't fit 370Z test pipes. How much power do you guys think would be sacrificed using stock 350Z cats?

Quite a bit. It'd be just like bolting up your stock cats again. The cats are the biggest bottle neck of our system.

Headers are I think an 8 hour job out of the book. Usually like 6-8, so that plus whatever your shop's hourly rate is.

Yup, you're roughly lookin 700-1k+ depending on the whether they do flat rate or if they do actual hours worked on it.

Well. Lets see what the initial reports have to say. 3k to try and retune, ill pass unless these things with the z1 hfc make significant increase all over

So let me get this straight. As per Z1, you need either stock 350 cats or the Z1 hi-flow cats for them to fit in our 370s. Pricewise why wouldnt you simply just get long tubes instead (other that being emissions friendly)? Longtubes would probably give you more gains anyway

... getting HFC won't slow down the install AT ALL. It adds ZERO time to the install.

The gains are about even. With LTH you have to extend the O2 sensors are are a little harder to install. But what isn't on the car.

As of right now you need 350z TP's, Cats, or HDC's. but IMO id only want headers if I could run TP's. the purpose is to get the most free flowing exhaust setup on that end of the car. This really is small beans. And to everyone complaining about the install time. That's old news. Been that way since the 350. Time to learn how to work on your car.

So you're saying running these Z1 with test pipes will yeild about the same gains as full long tube headers? And what do you think noise wise? Thanks

I know for a fact. I proved it here along with another forum member named Mike and a couple others. Your exhaust setup will be a factor on how much it helps. Between four of us with all NA breather mods and tune we were pulling between 330 and 349whp. One guy did 326whp on these headers and stock exhaust. My exhaust was to free flowing to get the higher numbers. I had the Greddy.

The sound is perfect. Apt of that again depends on your exhaust. But ultimately it's up to you.
