Ive been reading here and there, and what I can gather is that unless I get LTH's I shouldn't even bother getting headers. Unless, Z1 comes out with a set of shorty ones? Then I can throw some HFC's on it and I'm good?

LTH = Long tube headers. Aka headers that are longer. Short = shorter. LTH will bolt onto the part most consider a "catback exhaust" With shorty headers you will need HFC or test pipes. These headers from z1 are not LTH but so far they seem to be the best option out there for making power. install for LTH and these are about the same except for some say that getting the longer headers up in there to bolt takes a lil more effort. |

Lol, definitely a lot of truth to that. It's easy if you have the front of the car completely disassembled though.

Oh ok. So those headers they've released can fit both the 350 AND the 370? For what I've read it looked like because it was an exact replica, some other modification was required to have it match up to the 370. PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong. I'm looking at just keeping my car NA for now. |
I just went back and re-read it. As long as I buy a HFC for the 350 it will match up to the headers. However, will it also match up to my MXP catback?

You need HFC from the DE (03-06) 350Z engine.

It was also pointed out to me at least that the headers if paired with hfc rather than test pipes would max at 324 hp. So on in my instance is why going test pipes in conjunction.
