Really considering these headers with their HFC's and the FI 18" CBE. Would love to just have the FI LTH'S and CBE but knowing my luck I would get caught for emissions here in IL. Hopefully with this set-up I would be relatively close to what the performance gains would be with the FI LTH'S and CBE.

Got back from vacation to work today, car is still on the lift but the headers are on, just waiting for the o2s, supposed to be here tomorrow. I wish I would have done side by side photos of these, cannot believe the horrible design of the oe headers, the pipes are flattened in places and the collectors are so restrictive IMO, just wow, tubular but total fail...

Joe, when you get a chance, if it's not too much to ask could you forward me the total cost of your install. I'm looking at these as an option in the future, and I'm trying to look at labor costs along with purchase costs.

I paid a tech at work under the table, motors guide pays about 7 hours for the job, most shops depending on labor rate will be between 600-800 unless they do not know what they are getting into, I asked him today if he would be willing to do more sets for anyone local and he has no issue with it, he is a young guy with a mod addiction as well, but he is a honda guy HOWEVER he has one of the cleanest and tasteful civics you will ever see...He is a training master tech in the honda PACT program, one of few young people that are not a total f5^k up these days...I applaud him for it, thus why I trusted him to do it. He did it for $250 bucks(he though 300 would have been fair, but I got the co worker discount), word of the wise, prepare for o2 sensors, the thread ripped right off them and there is only 20k on my car, ans he soaked them in blaster overnight and used some heat, no one in the shop was expecting that, myself included, we pull sensors out of high mileage honda exhausts all day long.

I mentioned it in my review of my long tubes a while back that there is a chance they won't make it. $300 is waaaaaay cheap.

Thats understandable. I wonder if the fact that mine have already been pulled from the OEM headers and put into long tubes will make them easier to remove...

The thread bungs ripped off both of my OEM manifolds too....what a joke. They are basically just spot welded on.

Wink

Give you guys a tip when installing the O2 sensors. Use lots of nickel anti-seize on the threads of the sensor. BUT keep the stuff off of the sensor section.
