yes, you will have to enlarge the intake duct/radiator support piece to fit the coupler through there. When the intakes are officially release, we have installation pictures for your diy'ers

It really isn't a big deal, easier than taking the bumper off IMO.

Will it work with a stillen G3?

Sh0velMan 01-22-2013 07:31 AM

You're asking if their CAI system, a product intended to compete with the Stillen Gen 3 intakes will work WITH the Stillen Gen 3 intakes?

I think he means the insert.

I hope he means that.

Probably, but that doesn't make any sense either, since the insert is only needed because the AAM intakes are over the stock MAF diameter, where the Gen 3 isn't.

Exactly,

Stillen Gen 3's are sized appropriately to work with the stock tune/MAF calibrations, ours is oversized that's why the insert is needed, or if you intend to get a tune, do not use the insert and the oversized inner diameter will go in your favor

Ouch, someone sounds bitter... :stirthepot:

Yet another fine piece from AAM! Looks good guys! I would be interested to see a dyno with all your bolt on products, say the new intake test pipes the new mid pipe and short tails?

haha not bitter at all, I am 100% for group buys to get cheaper rates for everyone but that requires a lot of people to commit, then they have to wait, then if we don't make certain amounts, then the discounts aren't worth the wait, etc etc

we tuned a 7AT to 317/266 on our dyno, that was with AAM intakes, AAM HFC, AAM True Dual, M370, and uprev tune

kensnismo 01-23-2013 09:03 PM

nismo cai intakes have these pieces in them but they are plastic.thats why you can run with out tune and you get c.a.r.b. sticker

Just received these pipe-babies today. Hopefully I'll be able to install the soon and will update the post with pictures.
Thanks to Khoi and his awesome customer support.
