Scraaaaape!!
I've recently had KS Var. 3 Coilovers and an AAM Competition 2.5" True Dual Exhaust put on my Z and am now regretting it.
The exhaust is dragging over nearly every speed bump I go over, no matter how I approach them. The coilovers are set about as high as they can go (maybe 2 threads left), and I took the car into a muffler shop to have the pipes cut and moved a bit higher (got maybe half an inch or less from that). My car is a daily driver and I've got a set of speed bumps at my apartment that I have to cross each time I leave or come home that give me a slight scrape each time. I'm still scraping and don't know what to do. Does anyone else have this same set-up on their 370 and if so, what did you do to get some clearance? |
Z looks cool when lowered but as a daily driver that's another thing. Wait till you find something in the middle of the road at speed.:ughdance:

Is this your first lowered car? You wil learn to adapt and drive it correctly if so. You will scrape regardless due to being low. But can get away with a lot once you get used to it.

LOL, yeah it is my first lowered car.
Yeah, I'll adapt, I guess I don't really have a choice now. :P Just worried about that exhaust. |
My exhaust pipes aren't round anymore. They are all flatten down haha. Post a pic of how low it is.

My setup is similar, AAM dual exhaust and I'm lowered on Tien S tech springs. It's about an 1.5" drop. I haven't had much of an issue with scraping, but I'm forever watchful about my approach!
