Steve and I installed my Modshack custom intakes today. Steve was able to powdercoat the intake cans to match PG. They turned out great! Steve was also able to machine the MAF tubes out of aluminum. Those turned out nice too. And the Cobb intake tubes look much cleaner than stock. They fit perfectly as well.
I still need to install my painted engine covers to match the Modshack custom intakes. I'll try to install them, take some pictures and post them up later. Aluminum MAF Holder with OEM MAF installed Intake Installation Driver's side Passenger side Full intake without strut bar reinstalled With strut bar reinstalled

can you feel any gains? Modshack if your MAF is to lean out the car, would I see any gains from it since I have the Cobb tune? Also would the cobb tube and your MAF fit with stock boxes?

BTW the Cobb tubes will fit on the car with the OEM MAF and intake boxes. They basically replace the OEM hoses between the MAF and the throttle body.

Looks Great!
Modshack, any plans to make a kit to sell to fellow forum members? I may be interested in your Maf's and intake cans (black would be my color preference)? Thanks,

ZeeToyz. They just came out with the 370Z caps. I have the 350Z caps on my 350Z. Call and ask for Terry if you are interested. They have them in red, blue and chrome.

Unlikely that I will for the following reasons: 1) I am not a vendor here and doubt the revenue I could generate from the various things I could design/build would make that financially feasible . 2) I am not real confident in the general mechanical skills of the members here. This set-up took a lot of hands on and slight modifications to turn out like you see it. 3) It would not be affordable. If I were to charge what I generally do for this work it would be too expensive. I could cut my margins, but I'm not interested in working for peanuts, in addition to supporting the inevitable issues that can/will arise. 4) This crowd is Dyno driven. My designs are more to improve day to day driveablilty. A few more horsepower at 7K RPM's is not what I'm looking for, but it seems most here are. Zpirate is a local friend. I do his airboxes, he does my wills.......:-) Last edited by Modshack; 04-05-2010 at 12:35 PM. |

It sure did Steve. I hadn't even tried the engine covers until today.
