If the latter, yep... it's the Y's. It is VERY hard to change anything on the exhaust side of VQ37HR without at least some rasp or hiss. Best combos I have found thus far in terms of very minimal/negligible rasp or hiss are either Nismo S-tune + resonated TP's (although the S-tune exhaust is really not that great for power and the Y-pipe was prone to cracking...) or PPE LTH + Nismo take off exhaust (the one with the H-pipe).
