Hey guys,
I took my catalytic converters off to put on some test pipes. I might have to put my cat's back on for emissions testing. The question is, when i took the cat's off I broke the studs on both sides. Is it possible to remove the stud from the cat's so that i can bolt it onto the headers ? |

This shouldn't be too bad on the cat, but it was a huge pain in the *** when a stud broke on my stock manifold.

You might want to use a punch to get a good spot to start drilling. Some cutting fluid (or wd-40 if it's all you've got) will keep your drill bits from getting chewed up. Slower speed is your friend here.

I think you can just use vice grips and unscrew them can't you? I seem to recall some of the studs came off mine and some didn't.

This could work too. Maybe heat up the flange too. I've also had good luck putting two nuts on a stud and loosening the first one, but I don't know if you've got room for that.
