Stillen vs Fast intentions! Bigger gains?

Stillen I know they advertise 18whp and Fast Intentions i'm not so sure, but I wanted to know people who had the Fast Intentions who have seen gains on their Z's. Which one is better for gains?

chrischhorn 01-06-2013 06:38 AM

Fast Intentions. Plus a lot of people say the Stillen is too quiet.

Search button

And advertised gains are BS, but what you like sound-wise, they all give great gains

I love the Stillen and die for it. If you want to buy one PM me

Fast Intentions all the way man. Sounds better, makes more power, and looks waaayyyyy better to boot. The Stillen one looks like a crappy version of stock.

Whatever you say brother.

That's by far and away the worst assumption, or worst way of showing opinion I have ever seen...

There are several differences between the Stillen and Fast Intentions exhaust. First, we'll start with the Stillens. Stillen has made a name for themselves by releasing several different parts for several different enthusiast machines. For the 370Z they offered a CBE that posts decent gains and has a polished look and feel to it. When installing the stillen CBE, you'll notice it's appearance is a very "stock" look while still retaining some polished pizazz. The exhaust note while not being quite as muffled, has a deeper tone to it, more aggressive some say, than stock. Thanks to the free flowing and larger diameter piping, it gives the user looking for some increased performance power along with some stock feeling style. Simple to install, and relatively affordable. This exhaust would be perfect for those just looking for a good buy and not a lot of noise.

As for Fast Intentions, they have developed an exhaust that is one of, if not the the top seller for the 370Z. It's distinguished look, and ease of installation and fitment have made it grab the attention of vendors, drivers, onlookers, and mechanics alike. Fast Intentions manufactures exhausts for several performance minded vehicles, even promoting their own wicked mustang which in it's spare time pops wheelies for the kids on the sidewalk. It's dayjob is tearing up the drag strip. When it came time for the 370Z, the fabricators spared no corners while creating this exhaust. The finished product has been lauded by several installers and buyers for it's polished look, and meticulous dedication to perfection. The design has an appeal to it that shows power, but doesn't scream ricer. The first time a Z is fired up with a Fast Intentions exhaust installed, the owner can't help but smile from ear to ear. This smile is only surpassed when the car is put to the road and the dyno boosting the 370Z's performance with it's enlarged pipe diameter and free flow, resulting in a proudly aggressive exhaust tone.

But Fast Intentions didn't stop there. They took their exhaust 1 step further by offering Options. The user can choose between several different combinations depending on volume, or looks. There are the Non-Resonated for those who want to hear the full power of the VQ37 without restriction. For those looking to be able to still have a stereo, there are the 12" and 18" resonated options. Lastly, the user can choose between the tried/true Stainless Steel mufflers, or for a bit of eye candy, Carbon Fiber mufflers. The CF isn't as dense as the SS so it lets a bit more of the power through, at the same time changing the pitch of the exhaust giving the 370Z a more "exotic" sound. With over 600 exhaust systems sold and having a waiting list that is growing every day, Fast Intentions have made a product the market simply can't get enough of.

First off, why have you narrowed it down to only these two? Noise wise, they are at opposite ends of the spectrum. I originally wanted the Tanabe Medallion Touring since I have it on my S2000 and love the fit, finish and sound. Instead I went with the Invidia Gemini and couldn't be happier.

From the OP, he looks to be considering highest Gains as the determining factor. And those are 2 of the top contenders..
