Lol

Well a huge disadvantage of the FI is that it effectively lowers your car. That's why a lot of people bust the cans

And I like the beefier tips of the Stillen if we're going to throw a bit of BS in the mix

Actually, it doesn't. I have the first gen F.I.'s (before tony redesigned it and raised the lowest point 3/8") and have [knock on wood] never scraped them once. The second gen F.I.'s only give you even more clearance comparable to stock. As with any lowered vehicle, scraping is 90% of the time driver error vs lowered part. As long as you approach hills/dips and bumps slowly, with an angled approach, you'll be fine.

Stillen

Fast Intentions

Very similar tips and height.

Were you just honestly looking for which one made the most gains by itself?

Or are you trying to see which one paired with mods X, Y, & Z will net the highest gains?

Fast Intentions is still a LOT lower

The gap to the bumper is much closer though

You must be looking at bottom of the cans vs bottom of the cans, but if you'll notice the pipes from the Stillen muffler to the mid pip dip Down before going forward...

Unforunately the focal length on those two images don't match so it's actually really not a good comparison image. Was there some propaganda (see: advert) from FI somewhere regarding the cans not actually being the lowest point of the car? I seem to recall something of the sort but not exactly where. The gist is that basically something else would be bottoming out if you hit your muffler.

In any case, the ONLY thing OP should care about is the sound they make, all "gains" are subjective IMO...

Stillen may get beat for quality a lot of the time, but they are also mass producers... That being said, the quality of both is good, higher with the FI, but... Yeahhh...

Lets stop beating a dead horse

The lowest point of the exhaust for F.I. is seated right in parallel with the rear Axel, so as you go over a bump, Axel goes up, exhaust goes up. If it won't scrape stock, it won't scrape F.I. Provided the driver approaches said bump at a reduced speed so that the impact isn't faster than the suspension can respond to.

Like I said before 90% of scrapes are driver error.

True, most people seem to destroy the V-shaped cans of any exhaust over stock or the Stillens...

Again, can we end the thread? We are still beating a dead horse, lol
