We will keep everyone up to date. I am still not convinced these "vibrations" are the cause. I had zero trouble doing my header and cat removal. Also if vibrations like that can damage the o2's and afrs like that then I am truly surprised we don't see more of this from people who daily drive. Hell if you hit a pot hole on the highway the vibration from that is 10 fold of that of an impact.

I think they are...here is why. With your theory with the pot hole take into consideration that there is a "SUSPENSION" on the car and that the engine, trans have neoprene rubber mounts that minimilize the amount of vibration through the chassis. The impact gun that you used put out a harder pounding sensation then any pothole on the road will. case in point put a 6in extension on your gun and hold it as it impacts. then put it on the lug nut with your hand on the frame of the car and it is 2 different sensations. That is just my humble opinion....hope it makes sense.

Hey Cody, I think Im gonna pull the o2 sensor out and have a look at it, and also look at the wires too just ensure everything's fine. I'll also clean around the area where the sensor physically plugs into.

how about you swap them from left to right and reset the ecu. If it follows then you have successfully narrowed it down?

eastwest2300 01-01-2013 07:25 PM

Roy, you're saying swap them passenger side to driver's side? (I just woke up from the best power nap EVER...oh man, I feel soo damn refreshed, I needed it)

roy'sz 01-01-2013 07:30 PM

yes, if you swap them it and reset the ecu it should carry over from one side to the other. Process of elimination. :) hope this helps

Hey fellas, sorry it took me a minute to respond, been kinda busy. All right so here's the deal..

Ok soo after a good two days of trying to get that fvcking o2 sensor off, I took it to a shop that I had dealt with before that deals with exhaust systems. The mechanic and the owner loved my Z, and I let them drive it, they were like holy sh!t your car's fast..:roflpuke2::roflpuke2:

So I told them what was going on, and that all I needed was for them to remove the o2 sensor. I'd pay them to remove it, We put the car on the lift, and it took a good hour after torching it 6 or 7 times, it FINALLY came off. They actually did it for free, and wanted to put my Z on their website.

BUT, the o2 sensor that I ordered, the company sent me the wrong one, so I'm actually waiting for a new one in the mail, I should have it by Thursday at the latest.

So my Z pretty much sounds like a Chopper, without one of the o2 sensors in.

Mother of God, don't drive it with an empty bung!

Especially the one on the header, that's begging for damage to your exhaust valves and an engine fire!

Do you think this is what happened in my case?:ugh2:

roy'sz 01-07-2013 04:58 PM

It could be....you should be able to tell when you get that sensor.
