Exhaust tips
Hi, I just had a Top Speed Pro1 Ti look exhaust installed on my Z. The sound is great but the exhaust tips... they stick out....a lot.
I went to a local exhaust shop to see if they could chop it and shorten it (move it in towards the car). The tech there doesn't think he can move it much. The piping on the passenger side doesn't allow for it to move much (it bends almost immediately after the exhaust tip). The best solution we could come up with, is to buy new (shorter) exhaust tips. So if you guys have experience, or can help with advice; my questions are: I found these exhaust tips.. will they fit? Weapon R eBay Anyone else know of where I can find reasonably priced blue burnt exhaust tips (slanted, rolled pref.)? *I have already searched Google, while there are a lot of pictures there isn't much information on how/where to buy them* Any other Top Speed Exhaust owners out there that modded their exhaust tips? |
Not trying to be negative but you should if went with Invidia or something of better quality
You wouldn't have had to deal with the tips. |

If I had stock exhaust... I would have left it stock for the time being... but the car came with something called an Aero Turbine exhaust; that stupid thing was LOUD! According to my decibel app, that stupid thing chimed in at 90db (under acceleration) and 83-84db drone. It wasn't just loud... it had a lousy sound to it as well. |
dont think the weapon R will go.

you can always go to autozone and get exhaust tips there
they wont look as nice but they should be semi cheap |
I picked up some large megaflow tips and then cut the pro 1 covers in half, sliped the megaflow over the pro 1 and they look great. The tips have 4 inch inlet and come out at 5 inch. You just have to cut off about 4 inches off of both covers. Work is still in progress and I will post some pic's as soon as I am done. You can adjust them the way you like after you have cut them. But the megaflow tips are around 85 bucks each. But they are well worth the money after you do the work..
