Default Powdercoating Gen 3 Intakes

Hey guys, i've seen a few instances where people powdercoated their gen 3 intakes. I was thinking of doing the same thing, maybe in a flat red or a gloss black. Are there any potential problems with doing this? (i.e extra heat retention, etc). Is there anything that i should relay informationally to the powdercoater to take care while prepping the tubes for the paint? I'm assuming there's some extra precauting that needs to be taken with the MAF sensor area . . . Thanks in advance!

To help you the best you might shoot a PM to: Nissan 370Z Forum - View Profile: Mike
He has his own PC business and can help answer almost any question you have. I have seen a set in Houston from one of our guys and I have not heard him say anything negative since he got them.

Nothing you really need to worry about with them. Need to keep the threaded holes where the screws that hold the MAF sensors in place install clean of powder, but thats about it. I coat for a couple different manufacturers of their own systems for different cars, some want the whole maf area masked, others just want the screw holes.
