LTH battle: F.I. vs. PPE

Has anyone done a back to back comparo of the Fast Intentions Long Tube Headerts (LTH) versus the same from PPE? Just wondering what the perf./sound differences are by: 1) pushing the collector further from the exhaust bank, and 2) equal length vs. non equal. Tony (FI) / PPE feel free to chime in!

I doubt this will happen unless a shop wants to under take it as a header install is time consuming and can be costly.

Length of tubing and placement of merge collector are determined by what the powerband and use of the application. Longer for more low end torque, shorter for more top end. A tuned length header factors both and matches it best to the engine. Smaller tubing also improves low end torque, but sacrifices top end power. Stepped headers vary the tube sizes to get a best of both worlds. Taking this into consideration, PPE's have been shown to pull better numbers up top compared to Fast Intentions, but it's not significant. Neither is the torque advantage for F.I. PPE's definitely rasp more and require a concerted effort to choose the correct exhaust combination to quell it.

Noone is going to spend the money to buy both, install both back to back and dyno them. Looking at close to $4,000 for a curiosity test.
