Default Those with the G3 intake....rain?

Those with a G3 intake, with the filter being in front of everything (and only partially covered by the front facia/bumper - will rain be a problem - or, better yet, taking it to the car wash to hit it with the pressure-washer w/ soap? (I'm not suggesting hitting the filter on purpose, just incidental...)

It's not a problem at all in any of the circumstances above, and SEARCH is your friend. This is like a weekly question now I swear.

on the G37, it's right up to the grille. no one i know of had issues with rain...no hydrolock either.

and it's common sense to not go flooring around in the rain....don't want to suck water into the intakes.

Ever notice military vehicles like H1's have the air cleaner exposed to the environment , like on an elevated stack at roof heigh to keep it out if standing water? Any rain rain water that gets in has a direct gravity feed into the engine, but you never hear about problems with that type of intake.

Yeah, having searched, I see my error...lol

I was thinking it was where/behind the bar/foam goes across.

Thats called a safari snorkel, and they usually have a drain so no water comes in.

You can buy by-pass valves if you are that worried about it.
