Default custom ram air

i was searching around and thinking about doing a short ram air and put the duct intakes in the bumper and make it go right in the short ram air just seeing if anyone else has done something like this and get your feedback on what do you think and what would be the best short ram air for this and i was looking at the schnell sonic power intake filter to put on the end to make it look nice its just a idea right now and im looking forward to getting some feedback thanks

no i was think the k&n ram air with the intake ducts cut into the bumper and make then go directly into the intake and use the sonic power filter instead of the k&n filters to enclose more

I've thought about doing ram air as well... question for those more intelligent that I (which is pretty much everyone) do you have to have a custom tune done to handle the changing rate of airflow since its ram air?

I believe the ECU will recognize the change in air pressure and adapt. Just like the car adapts in cool/hot weather..

I thought about doing my own custom intake where I run some tubing down to the front bumper area rather than running it from my stock air box. I know I would save some serious money and probably see close to the same gains as the Stillen G3. But who knows

Not sure who's more intelligent, but here's what I know. The car doesn't measure volumetric air flow, but mass air flow. Pressure is not an important parameter for MAF meters. The car should adjust to any increase in pressure (within reason) - it will recognize an increase in mass flow and back off on the throttle (or add more gas). Plus, you have the O2 sensor to provide feedback.
