Another idea would be (and you're gonna hate this) but completely go back to stock now, and then see if the noise is still there... If it is, you have a problem somewhere with your engine, if it isn't you know it is the intakes...

Then if it isn't there, reinstall everything and see if it comes back. Yes, this is completely labor intensive, but it's the other troubleshooting process I can think of...
When I had my stock intakes on, I had NO PROBLEM at all. It is def Takeda intake. I'm going to drive one more time today, trying to gun the car and see what happens. (haven't had chance to gun it after the installation) If I have to do what you have suggested...awwww I'm going to kill myself lololol

Did you happen to do the soft ECU reset first? (Not that it will help with the sound so much as it's just a good idea to do when you change breathing mods)

I didn't reset the ECU. but I think resetting ECU won't solve the problem.

It's not about solving the problem, it's about getting your ECU to learn the new airflows thanks to the new intakes. So its a simple way of letting your car adapt = more powah.

this is a HUGE stretch on my behalf. I think that it is your fuel pump *the whine that I heard.* what year is your z? Some of them did have a recall with the ecu or fuel pump in reguards to that whine/whistle sound. Could also be a vacuum leak?

so this is what Takeda sent me back regard to the noise problem (I also attached the video to Takeda) "I would like for you to adjust the air filters. I have reason to believe that they may be too far on the intake tube. Just pull them towards the end of the tube. They don’t have to be moved very much. Another thing I would like for you to check is the CCV or Crank Case Vent lines that attach to the intake tubes. Check to make sure that they are not kinked or bent. The last thing that I can think of to check is the MAF sensors. I would loosen them and wiggle them, then retighten them." I'm going to do this right now see what's going to happen

So I tried everything today, took out the whole intake out to see if anything is wrong in the pipe or MAF sensor, nothing was wrong. After carefully listening for where sound could be coming from, I noticed it is not from the intake! It is somewhere in the engine...now I'm doomed...nothing sounded like this when I had stock intakes on, now it is making this weird *** sound after Takeda....sigh...

Do I possibly have to change my ECU? One of other members sent me a pm saying he had the same problem and after changing his ECU the sound didn't go away. I guess I'm fine but the sound is annoying for sure

They will most likely change the ecu if thats the case. I'd take it to nissan and see what they say. Has your car been re flashed or uprevd?

yeah I'd have nissan take a look at it. Atleast they would be able to pin point what it is that is going on.
