Do you have to remove the bumper to even install short rams because i've removed everything from the stock airbox on the left side and something is still holding it

No. The airboxes come out without removing the front fascia. Just take a breather, go back and take your time looking at it. You'll figure it out.

It should just lift out if you've removed the visible bolts. It does slot into the Pass through fitting (that seal it to the Radiator wall). Just give it a yank. There are Rubber fittings at the bottom that the stock box fits into. Give it a pull..
