Non-resonated FI cbe with WHICH TEST PIPE?
Hi all,
This is Rikki. I currently have non-resonated FI cbe. I also running berk HCF but im thinking about changing it to test pipe so i would get the sort of "in ur face" sound. My buddy 350z has ark test pipe and it sounds amazing and strong. Please let me know ur experience or opinion with this set up. Which test pipe do u guys prefer? |
Screw the test pipes. Get yourself some FI LTH's.
|
^Agree... If you don't have the coin for headers, I would stay away from TP's without resonators, you will seriously think something is wrong with your car it will rasp so bad. Get something resonated at a minimum.

If not the LTH's, then ART pipes.

Hey Rikki! Look into what Mike did to his Z. I would much rather go this route than LTH:
http://www.the370z.com/members-370z-...ournal-24.html Momentum VQ35DE headers (for 350Z) with 350 test pipes. Huge gain over FI LTH and I bet it sounds amazing. Apparently Z1 is fabbing up their own design replicating this. |
If you're on a budget, go with Z1's test pipes as they are the cheapest if not mistaken at the current moment. Idk if there's a cheaper ones. But if you want them to meet your specific needs then go with ART pipes :)
PS : i'm running on Z1's test pipes and they sounds ******* good! |

You guys are right. I currently have HCF and its still rasp sometimes:( its pretty uncomy tho. Lol getting header is so much louder and my mom will kill me lol.
|
A lot of guys say that TP's are louder than headers, but even with headers, you will get rasp. Not sure how well the X pipe will reduce it, but without resonators on your midpipes, your bound to have some anyways.
|
You should give tony a call switch out your mid pipe with a 12" res mid pipe then give z1 a call and get yourself a set of 350z DE headers and test pipes! You will more then likely be the only one with that exhaust set up! I bet it will sound insane, your car will for sure get a big bump in power with those headers/test pipes
