I had an e-cutout on my SRT4 back in 03-04. Was pretty awesome to go from stock to sounding like a diesel boat motor in seconds flat.

When I was swapping exhausts on the Z, I went for a drive with just the test pipes (so, no catback at all) and it didn't sound that great. I'd imagine cutouts would sound like that. Not to mention, on a NA car, backpressure isn't a bad thing....

OP

you can but an e-cutout online and install it to any exhaust you want, the only thing is that you have to cut the exhaust you purchase to do so, you dont have to weld the exhaust to the e-cutout but its always recommended

good luck

Im considering trying this. I will have my FI installed in about 4 weeks. If I do this, it will be 30-60 days out. I really was hoping to hear someone's exhaust that had already done it

I have been considering doing this on my car. I have the F.I. 3" setup with Cats, so I would install the cutouts right before the Cats at the end of my down pipes. I think it would give me a slight power gain, not to mention sound cool!

Any FI users using ecutouts? Can anyone shed some light on how the tuning will work in FI scenarios?
