Hrmm... I am wondering if maybe something didnt tighten all the way, around 4K+ there is a little rasp and I dont think its normal.

But again, I'm using the 18'' resonators?

meh, I dont think the 12" would contribute entirely though.

I bet you it's jut the HFCs. They introduce rasp. The only way to avoid it is to keep the stock cats, even then there is a slight hint of rasp. It's the nature of the car unfortunately.

18" resonators would help with it, though.

Thats what Im going for as well. I think if you have that mindset going in then that you want loud it wont be a problem.

The problem is people modding their cars and expecting it to be perfect to their tastes, not to loud, not to raspy but still get great gains.

I installed mine this past Friday. Unbelievable quality AND sound! The wife likes it too. She loves how it purrs, and I have to agree. I think it's one of the smoothest sounding CBE I have heard. I have the 18-R. It's not loud at all when just cruising but once you get on it, it comes to life....and even then, it's not overwhelmingly loud...huge plus.

I'm still kind of considering the RHFC. It would be the quietest option and would produce the least amount of rasp but I'm just not sure how much more volume and drone it would produce. I don't want it to be too much louder than what I currently have. I love the current sound!

I know Majestik.. ordered the RHFC. I guess I'll wait to read his review and maybe hear a couple vids.......hint...hint.

I'll post some pics tomorrow after a wash.

Tony, thanks for such an awesome product!

Which one did you end up going with Jnaut?, You did get the chance to see the 12"/hfc & 18" in person at the SFZCC meet.
