I got the CF and 18" resonators with HFC. I'm actually scared it's going to not be loud enough.

I've been noticing something with these exhausts. I'm not sure if it's the angle that most of the pics are taken but it appears that one of the mufflers is slightly lower than the other (somewhat noticeable). I think it's the left one that typically seems to be the lowest. I'm referring to the bottom front lower corner (opposite end from the tips).

Can folks with the exhaust installed confirm this? Please tell me I'm wrong.

If they are slightly crooked, could it be the installer's fault?? I know most people install it themselves and perhaps lack of experience leads to some misalignment. The reason I say that is because in the following pictures a professional (I'm guessing Tony??) is installing the CBE (on Triple's) and he is making sure everything is level and it appears to have turned out great.

The person you see in the picture is Dan. He is my business partner. It states in our instructions that you need to make sure the flanges on the back of the X Pipe are level. As you can see, we are doing that in the picture above. From there, it makes it much easier to line the rear mufflers up. Once they are bolted up to the X Pipe but loose, they have adjustability.

With that being said, it is very hard to align them perfect by yourself...

I see...so there is some room to play with for adjustability. Thanks Tony. I'll be sure to be extra careful when installing them.

So Ben, are you considering switching to FI CBE now, based on what Tony said to you...regarding your top end?

Just flirting with the idea. Like I said in my LTH review thread, losing a few hp at 7300 rpm doesn't bother me, not when you consider all the power I gained in the low and mid ranges. If I switch my CBE over to F.I. it'll be due more to this continual itch I have to try new things with my car rather than any belief that I will make huge gains over my current setup. That being said, however, it'd be an interesting review/comparison of the two different CBEs, seeing how I already have the LTHs installed. Which CBE works best with the LTHs? Well, presumably F.I.'s CBE does. But nobody really knows for sure until someone does an independent and objective test of both setups on the same car and posts the dyno results so that everyone can compare the numbers and the power curves side by side.

Tony -- This may already be mentioned on the instructions, so for give me for asking. I just like to be knowledgeable and prepared when the time comes to install. Questions is, how does one align the rear of the X-pipe so that it's level? Is it by adjusting the connection on the cat-side? I won't think that we'd have to mess around with the hangers.

Am I right?

Tony I couldn't do the alignment but did align the tips few washers were needed for that, do you think from the pics these looks misaligned?

One more thing I need to know that the rear passenger side cover which needs to be remove to wrap the fuel line, doesn't go back right? as I took it off and didn't install it, just cut the aluminum plate little bit behind that.

One last question will it make any difference in sound if I painted the mufflers flat black as here its more of cop magnets resulting in 30 days impound and 900$ fine.
