Done, I'm getting the 18" resos with SS mufflers. No HFCs.

KDO, the washer technique is to shift the tips toward the midline? Do you think this is something that could be fixed with just loosening the bolts throughout the CBE and readjusting them?

the washers adjusted my right tip lower so it would match the left tip in regards to height...i didnt notice any left or right movement...

some folks havent had to use the washers...you may be one of those few, luck of the draw i guess, although i have thought about re aligning the entire cbe to see if that fixes it...but havent had time to do it lately, and i want to use a lift if/when i get around to it...

Every time I drive down a street every head in the street turns. I may have to order some HFC depending on how much grief I get from the oinkers.

So totally happy with the setup though. Undoubtedly brings out the beast in the 370. I was just at a meet with about 150 modified cars and would have to say my 370Z had the best sounding exhaust hands down.
Hey James. Honestly the car is real loud but it does come down to how we drive it to honest. I have noticed i have adjusted my style just a bit when around my OWN house LOL. As for accelerating between 2-4k range, i have found it's loudest when in a higher gear, so when you need to put more load on the car (i think that makes sense).

Not sure what you can do with the Auto, you might need to drive it in Manual mode more and you might be able to adjust it a bit more, maybe.

This is the ENzo sound i heard on Youtube, that i thought was close,

Will start with the CBE. Just need to figure out jack stand points for the rear of the car...
Good to hear you getting yours in m4a, also hope your enjoying it once the rain goes away mate and you get some good weather to really enjoy it. Seeing that you have come from V8's you have gotta put in the HFC's mate, they have gotta add a nicer note and some HP as a bonus as well.

Hey spearfish. I'll try and get some more videos today, but that wont be the best quality as i dont have my JVC HD cam with me, so can only use the video mode of my point and shoot. It's biggest downside is the mic on it.

Both Aus370 and myself had to add a few washers to the right side as well. On Aus's car we used 3 washers and mine was 2 (Tony included them, nice touch mate). Once these were added, it seems to align them perfectly thats for sure.

I will tell you that my CBE doesn't sound anything like an Enzo. It does sound excellent in it's own right, though. Very deep and rich with a refined, exotic tone. It's perfect.

Vids... I'll try to get some when the weather clears up. I'm pretty ticked that I haven't been able to drive with the windows down at all today. Had Rain, rain, go away...

Oh yeah -- important: you can definitely feel the pickup in power across the board. It's very noticeable. From 2k all the way through the range there is a very noticeable gain.

Argh... I failed the wife test today with the HFC's hahaha. She thinks they're too loud and drone too much for her liking. I did take it out on the interstate today and personally didn't mind it much at all... yes you heard the exhaust, obviously; but it's not what I would consider "drone". You want drone, I used to have an RSX-S with a straight pipe, lol. I could easily carry conversation and listen to my music no prob.

Anyhow, the exhaust does set off two different car alarms in my neighborhood, ha ha ha (warning chirps as I drive past). It also set off the car next to me on campus on cold start. It's just SO deep and beautiful ha ha. I'm going to pick up some replacement OEM gaskets and put the factory ones back on and just run the CBE and OEM cats. *sigh*

If it was just MY decision, believe me, I'd continue to run the HFC's. But as any of you other married guys can guess my own happiness is, well not entirely my own.

The exhaust seems to go quiet around the 3k rpm range, maybe you should keep your revs there when your wife's around haha

I would like to 2nd this. I have really notice that when just cruising around the volume does drop off a lot at 3k. Mind you guys both Sam and I have the Test Pipes, so it should be quieter with HFC's.
