I love it! I never bought an aftermarket exhaust before. Believe it or not, my '03 350Z only had an OEM exhaust. I wanted to change things up with the 370Z by getting an aftermarket exhaust. The F.I. exhaust on the G37 sounded very nice, and the 370Z exhaust sound is way better than expected (overachievers! 8-D). The angle cut tips are superb and flow well with the rear bumper. No rasp!? Wonderful. The subdued or attenuated drone is definitely a welcome especially with the tire roar drowning the music. I never liked the exhaust drone in the 350Z. Can't wait to see what sort of gains we'll get since I don't have access to a dyno locally.
I'm definitely looking forward to HFC + TDX setup this month. :excited: |
Did you get a chance to weigh the exhaust before installing it? Looks and sounds amazing.

When I dyno the exhaust towards the end of this week I will weigh it. I am very confident that the TDX weighs less thean the stock exhaust. I will also be posting a video from our dyno session. |

I am almost certian that the TDX will out perform our previous Intimidator. This exhaust was designed to give you as many pros as possible while trying to eliminate the cons! Our HFC's will be discounted even further when being purchased with a cat back. Keep it all in one house. It is much easier that way. |

its gonna sound SICK on HFC's i bet |
To All-
To catch everyone up and make a few points. - We have been using this designed X Pipe for almost 10 years. Most commonly in our Z32 300ZX TT exhaust and Audi S4 systems! We have found it to make more torque and power while reducing interior noise resonance. - The X Pipe will be available in three options: 1) Straight through: For the one who wants it on the louder side. 2) 12" Resonators: Pictured in the prototype 3) 18" Resonators: My recommendation if you plan on replacing the stock cats! - In addition, this exhaust will also be available with Carbon Fiber mufflers!!! Pricing along with the sale will soon follow. I will most likely get to the dyno one night later this week. We are taking pre orders effective immediatly!!! Thanks, Tony (818) 882-2788 email: info@fastintentions.com |
will there be a burnt stainless options for both the mufflers and tips?

The mufflers will only be available in Polished Stainless Steel & Carbon Fiber. |

WOOOOOOO! THAT'S MY WHIP Hahaha! I see you guys took my advice when I said to beat the sh!t out of it so we can see what this exhaust really sounds like. (Good work on getting passed that rev limiter while the car is standing still..haha.) Tony, thank you so much for creating this amazing art piece of an exhaust and making it available to the Z34 community, not because it's my car or anything but I don't think any other exhaust out there sounds this clean with NO rasp. BTW I haven't seen my car since last Thursday guys, so looking forward to the madd rep points for giving up my car for the creation of yet another brilliant piece from Fast Intentions. :happydance: |

So the 12" resonators is the version on the car in the video right? How long would you say till the 4" tip version would be available, 4.5" is getting a little big for my taste! |
Damn, Tony. Sounds amazing man. Even better than I though it would. Looks and sounds even sexier than it did on my previous Intimidator system. Very exotic sounding. I'm sold. ;)
Ready to buy, and can send money today. :D What's the approximate build/ship time right now? I am wanting the all polished SS version. I am split on the resonator size though (12 or 18). I have a set of HFC's in my garage (uninstalled), but your video sounded SO good I almost don't want to spoil that exotic sound that you guys at FI have created, lol. Anyhow, great job. Hope to hear from you soon! :D |
First off, props to the first exhaust manufacturer in here (AFAIK) to produce such an extensive video to include startup, idle and revving from all angles (walked around the car), takeoff, zero to fast from the back and the front, internal sound in different conditions, even naming off speed and RPM to evaluate drone. Very good video that other manufacturers should be watching to learn what people are interested in before buying an exhaust.
Tony, I took a look at Fast Intention's website, and was impressed at the high-quality TIG welds in some of your exhaust, like the Lambo's. Finally, it's very interesting how sound is something completely personal. I am tired of reading 370Z reviews where the author complains about the VQ's sound at high revs. Granted, the one in the video is helped by a great exhaust, but even with the car approaching you on a fast pass, to me, it sounds great! Tony, do we have any pricing info yet, including the different options you mentioned? I will be standing by for the dyno and weight info. |
