It has nothing to do with being cheap, just fair. If only the black and red Zs were getting free installs or free shipping would that be fair? That's all I'm saying, and honestly I'm sorry that I even mentioned it. Thankfully there are lots of other options available. Competition is a good thing. |

Just posting a follow-up after a day of driving. My car hasn't been driven much over the weekend since I've been working on a stereo install.
The TDX with 12" resonators and Berk HFCs combination is VERY LOUD! As a daily driver, my tach is always hovering around 2-3k when accelerating. At this range, the exhaust tone is very loud. It even vibrates my interior. With SRM, the exhaust tone gets pretty loud as well. When letting off the throttle or cruising/coasting, the exhaust tone is very quiet. Therefore, I plan to switch out the 12" resonators with 18" hoping to cut down the exhaust loudness. I still like the smooth and deep exhaust note, but I'm not much of a loud exhaust guy. No regrets... just to quiet it down. ;-)

Most of my hatch panels are taken out anyways so I will either take out the last panel (the 1 that is vibrating at 2-3k rpm) or put something soft between the panel and the metal so there is no vibrating noise anymore. This exhaust sounds AMAZING! I have a buddy taking video for me tomorrow I think. |

You told me to hold on to it for a while when you placed the order!

I understand your point about the installation vs. the shipping. But, shipping costs money and I can give my time for the labor without it costing me! I do the installs not my workers! they are paid to stay working, I am the owner so therefore I can do this without having to pay someone else. Shipping is expensive especially for the size of box that these exhaust systems come in. This is a 2 month offer for local people within driving distance as a added incentive to come in and get it installed. I cannot control who pays someone to install it or who decides to do it themselves. What I have control over is my installs. If I gave $50.00 off of the shipping, I would be losing money. That is not smart business! I hope you understand my point... Thank you for your time, Tony Fast Intentions Inc. (818) 882-2788

This is partially my fault! Back when you purchased the system in April I had no idea that you had aftermarket cats or what our system would even sound like. Once it was prototyped I always made sure I made the recommendation to have the 18" resonators with anything aside of high flow cats. The 18" will cut it down quite a bit and I am confident it will satisfy you... Thanks, Tony

If it was my car I would shy away from the straight X Pipe. I am not in my late teens or early twentys anymore! I want it on the quieter side. I would recommend at lest the 12" resonators. If you are weary about the noise level then I would not even chance it with the straight X Pipe. Those resonators work wonders and the Carbon Fiber is just going to make it a little louder. If I had my ideal set up it would be HFC's W/the 18" resonators and the stainless mufflers. That is just my 2 cents though... Thanks, Tony

yea i understand tony im gonna try it out see what happens if anything ill just swap x pipes like you said. i hear people on the forums all the time saying something is LOUD then when i hear it its really not.. im sure it will be fine.. wont compare to an s2000 with test pipe and invidia exhaust lol and thats still tolerable for me. im 21. tony as long as the exhaust isnt raspy thats what i dont want.

That night, some guy with a Malibu with hyperwhite headlights chased my tail in traffic. He tried to get my attention, but there was an SUV in the front of me. Once the SUV turned turned, I drove past him at half throttle to 4k RPM to unleash the fury of the exhaust sound. Guess he started driving civil afterwards.

I got to hear a car with HFCs and Altered Atmosphere Catback and another with HFCs and Stillen CBE this weekend and thought both were pretty tame at idle/cruising and weren't crazy loud at WOT.
So I'm really torn as to whether I want 12" or 18" resonators.
