kind of a random question, but i'll be getting my TDX in a while, and i was wondering if anyone has taken any measures to protect their exhaust from scraping. i dont live in a lower car friendly town, and i'm dropped on swifts, and i've scraped a few times on speed bumps and such. nothing serious. maybe just the very bottom of the can seeing as they're the most likely to scrap and receive the most damage.

It is funny how anyone would say that. All you need to do is look at the dyno chart and you will see that there is NO LOW END TORQUE LOSS!

In your case, I am glad that you will be eventually needing new tires! Don't burn them up too fast...

Thanks, Tony

I try not to challenge anyones opinions unless I know for sure they are wrong. I have NEVER installed restrictions in my exhausts to make the car quicker/faster.

Tony, I can't say enough about quality of the system, from packaging, welds, pipes, and instructions to the overall quality of the system. I have installed quite a few exhausts in my day, all laying on my back in the garage and this system was by far the easiest to install. Thanks for a great high quality system.

Looks good Roadster.

Are those ramps for lowered cars, how much did they set you back if you don't mind me asking? I need a set bad! :rofl2:

I've never really looked closely but that is a nice flat torque curve.

I was mulling over a few different replies but it's probably like Leonard arguing with Sheldon. I'll just take my medicine to preempt the swelling of hemorrhoidal tissue.

They are race ramps along with rollups in the back. They aren't cheap though. Around 300 for the fronts and around a 100 for the rears. Was a nice Christmas gift from the wife.

looks awesome Roadster4us!!! w00t!

I noticed you had Nismo CBE listed.. so you had that..but went to FI now? See a bump in sound quality and power?

Has anyone ever been hassled about Warranty with CBE installed?

As long as the issue can't be directly related to the CBE, it shouldn't have any effect on your warranty. Now say if in the midst of installing test pipes, you mess up the threading on your o2 sensor and you take it in to get checked out, they would say you messed it up and that specific part won't be covered under warranty. But if a steering linkage fails, they can't blame that on your CBE install. If they did, I'd just :rofl2: at them.

Sound is very different, a much louder growl which is what I wanted. Haven't driven it yet as it started snowing here in Northern VA.

I would never worry about a CBE and warranty, and I am careful with that :tiphat:

Sorry for semi off topic, but I'll throw in another recommendation for the race ramps. I have them and used them Thursday to help install the splash shields on my Z. Work great. Get the ones that separate to give more working room under the car. Not cheap but WORTH IT.

I have the 56" RR-56-2 ones.

Now I just need to find a pinch weld adapter for the low profile jack.

I saw these ramps at SEMA last year, they were great. They had a bunch of different sizes for all types of applications!
