what? if your wondering about the numbers i live in Australia and we use a different measurement, but i converted it for all you Americans. also the redline is from a completely stock dyno run.

The UpRev will make it a new beast from what you have there too!

I think the people were wondering why your numbers were so low.

reldas 04-03-2012 09:46 AM

it might be because my A/F ratio is screwed. here the dyno with A?R ratio on it let me know what you think?

http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg688...jpg&res=medium

once again redline is the stock run and blue line is after the mods were done

ZMan8 04-03-2012 09:53 AM

You're AFR seems fine. The stock setup runs a bit rich so you leaned it out (but not in an unsafe way)

ccdominic 04-03-2012 09:59 AM

i was actually kinda curious about that 295 torque

I didn't even catch that..yeah torque on this car will not be higher than HP.

reldas 04-03-2012 10:04 AM

yeah i noticed my torque for some reason is a lot higher than everyone else, i don't know why. even my stock dyno run it was really high and these 2 runs (stock and after mods) were done months apart. also we did the dyno in gear 4 is that right? if it matter i have a 7 spd auto

370ZilverZ 04-03-2012 10:06 AM

I even rechecked the conversion chart on that one myself.

reldas 04-03-2012 10:10 AM

any guesses on why mine is?

ZMan8 04-03-2012 10:14 AM

I think for 7AT run it in 5th. Someone correct if im wrong

370ZilverZ 04-03-2012 10:15 AM

Yes, that is correct. 5th for 7AT.

reldas 04-03-2012 10:18 AM

might be why my hp is low

And why your tq is high, since you are getting a higher multiple with 4th gear. Either way, before and after look nice!

Huck 04-03-2012 12:59 PM

There's a guy in the south Florida Z club that did a 09+ nismo S-tune exhaust with a certain brand hfc and the injen cai's, and after uprev (done by Gus at hp logic) he hit like 305hp and 304tq. Not the exact numbers, but I remember that they were almost equal, within 5 of each other, and his numbers were just over 300hp and tq. From what Gus said, he somehow found that magic combination that was the perfect balance of back pressure/ free flow. He could probably explain this a lot better than me since I was hearing it second hand from the owner of the Z. But this isn't the first I've heard of numbers like these.

I just received my FI CBE and HFC's (#473). Came in two separate boxes, so well wrapped up in bubble wrap and cardboard that they were virtually damage proof. The Polishing of the cans are amazing, and the tips are Gorgeous. Installation is this evening - I'll post pics and commentary afterwards.

Thank You Tony and the Guys on a Magnificent Product! :tiphat:

Got my LTH, 12" res. and CBE installed. :) It was pretty much straight forward to do. The left side stock header heat shield is a PITA to remove. The only problem I have is my steering wheel is pointed to the left and my TC light is on. I talked to Tony about this. The thing with my Z is the the steering shaft is indexed for only one position. I can't move one tooth to line things back up. I've been fighting with this for a week now.

Overall, it's worth it. On a cold start. It sounds like a beast that needs unleashed. Once warm, running up through the gears to red-line. It's pure music. :driving: Everything out of it sounds exotic. I do have a drone at 2000 to 2500 rpm. That's if I'm lugging the motor. A quick down shift and it's gone.

Thanks Tony! :tiphat:

I got my FI catback used, but i needed a few things gaskets etc. so i pm'ed Tony. Even though i didn't buy it from him, he's customer service CAN NOT be beat. He got the things i needed together fast, treated me like i was spending thousands and welcomed me to the family. All other businesses should take note from him. I only wish i had the money to order some of his resonated HFC's now, but soon enough i will be calling him again.

Thanks Tony :tiphat:

I just had my Resonated FI HFC and 18" Resonated FI CBE installed on my Z last night with the most valuable help of TypeOne and Windex! The system sounds AWESOME. Low rumble that shakes your core, but is not annoying or droning - No Rasp Whatsoever, No Check Engine Light, hiss at deceleration barely audible or noticeable at all - I had to listen real hard to make it out. At speeds, the system has a nice low rumble, but when you get on it, it growls like a lion and makes itself known. When I pulled up to the house last night at almost midnight, I reversed into the driveway, but before I could get out and open the garage door, my GF heard my rumble and opened up the garage door for me - she said the house was shaking.... LOL!! Took her out for a spin this morning and at highway speeds at constant throttle, there was barely a whisper of drone - When downshifting, the SynchroRev causes a louder deep rumble as the engine's RPM is bumped. All in all, it's like having my cake and eating it too. Beautiful sounding exhaust system, without the annoying drone or rasp. My Money was VERY well spent. I made the right decisions with the help of Tony and FI without a doubt. Below are some pictures from when I received the system and the final install - notice the almost damage proof shipping wrappings (pic of HFC's Box). The second pic is of the Resonated HFC's (the Resonators are embossed with "FAST INTENTIONS" just like the tips) and the third is of the mirror-like polish of the Cans... simply amazing. I'll have a link to the picture thread as soon as I upload the pics from the camera.

ALL IN ALL, I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE AND PRODUCT!!! The wait is SO well worth this system.

KaienZ34 04-04-2012 10:54 AM

Looks good paul, i can't wait to hear the Res HFC's....

To all, what is a good polish or what can be used to polish/seal all the pretty shine on the tips, mufflers.

if i barely drive the Z for a few days i just wipe em down with a rag and ZEP window cleaner. it shines em up and takes the dust off.

if i drive alot and theres exhaust deposits on the tips i hit it with a degreaser-like product i use on my wheels to break ti up then after a chrome polish/wax to get the rest off and shine them.

AreJay 04-04-2012 12:01 PM

Looks great can't wait to hear it in person, I'll be ordering mine soon.

J's Z 04-04-2012 12:09 PM

Just got my non-res cbe yesterday, non-res test pipes come in today and i will be installing tommorrow along with nst pulley kit. Can't wait to see the results with the uprev dyno next wk.

Ok guys, I uploaded my pics showing how the system was received in its packaging to final installation. The Demon Bolt on the driver's side lived up to its name. No Cheater Bar or Impact Wrench could budge it more than a couple of threads and then it just seized up solid on us. Two hours later after we pretty much stripped out the head trying conventional methods, I had to run out to a nearby auto parts place and purchase a $30 Bolt Extractor set. The bolt gave up after that and the installation proceeded without a hitch... :happydance: :driving:

Sounds about right... except I would HIGHLY recommend a set of Bolt Extractors right from the start... that bolt had no chance once the extractor bit into it. :gtfo2: It turned ...

Heh... don't feel too bad - it took us 2.5 hours almost ourselves before we thought of it! So, for all you newbies out there about to embark on this mission - take heed! :icon14: :bowrofl:

yes i agree. i wish i had a forewarning that those bolts were made of unobtainium mixed with adamantium. so yes newcomers be ready that some of the bolts on the stock cats may take you some time to get off but it is sooooo worth it once you do. i got over 3k miles on my TP and CBE and i havent stopped smiling since.

thank you Tony and F.I.
