I hear ya, no tease though. This exhaust from us is long overdue and should of been released back in the early part of this year.

Better late than never!

Im kinda a n00b. My overall intentions is to do the basic bolt-ons to my 370z.

Intake, Exhaust, & Race-Header. Maybe motormounts.

Do you guys think this exhaust is a good fit? If so, Ill put in my order! Note: Whats shipping to Hawaii?

That is not rasp the end. If you are talking about the sound distortion at the top of the RPM range, then it is the microphone on the carmera distorting. Overall I think it is a pretty good and accurate sound clip.

If you are reffering to the slight buzzing noise as the RPM's are on the way down, then that is common. That is evident dating all the way back to the very first 2003 VQDE 350Z.

I like the word Intentions!

Yes, I think the exhaust is a good fit and once you hear it, I am confident that you will too.

Stay tuned...

for sure it's going to sound amazing, that's just the way it is with this exhaust..lol

Togo 07-05-2009 04:17 PM

It sounds great from the clips. Especially if that tone I've heard is just a CBE with no headers/HFC/Tests upgrades.

Gotta say though the VQ always sounds great.

Fantastic news. I'm eagerly waiting.

F.I. Inc. 07-05-2009 08:01 PM

I will be uploading the video to You Tube in the next half hour. I hope you all have a few minutes to dedicate. The video is 7 minutes long. The video has a large number of pictures attached within the first minute. Pending that I have time tonight, I will also post the pictures seperatly.

I have put about 40 miles on it today. IMHO it sounds as good as the G37 coupe if not better. It by far looks the most aggressive to date but still retains class at the same time!

It has been long overdue for all of you and for that I apologize. However, it is now here and I am confident you will all enjoy.

If any of you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask...

Thank you, Tony

I know I'll have 7 minutes that I can dedicate to your post. Hell, I've dedicated nearly 10 hours today to this forum. I've been so bored and nothing to do all day.

theDreamer 07-05-2009 08:05 PM

Glad to see this being uploaded, should be able to spend a few minutes watching and listening. :D

Oh, food for thought!

Our prototype is fully polished T-304 Stainless Steel.

We get things right the first time, so therefore we do not waste material.

We also want to show you from the get go what is actually available to you.

Awesome.

Have you conducted dyno testing yet?

OMG... nice

This is amazing even without HFCs.

It sounds so good... very refined and exotic. Smoooooth!

Embedding is borked.

All I can say is... success.

That is by far one of the best looking exhausts I have seen. Great job FI.

I eagerly await dyno testing and pricing!

P.S. The in car driving sounds like you have a turbo/SC. What is that?

P.S.S. I'm hoping its just the camera angle, but as the Z was driving away, the mufflers looked like they were bouncing dangerously close under hard shifting. What is the clearance like from the lowest point of the mufflers to the pavement? Do you see a potential issue after lowering the car?

Caravanshaka 07-05-2009 10:14 PM

watching now, looks very well made

m4a1mustang 07-05-2009 10:14 PM

I wasn't going to post the link, but there it is.

It really sounds beautiful. Everything is right. Beats the pants out of the Stillen CBE in terms of sound... and so far sounds much better than Berk's prototype. I am really interested in hearing this FI exhaust with Berk HFCs... I think it'd be wicked.

But damn, that sounds great! I definitely want to see some dyno numbers... hopefully they are nice!

Caravanshaka 07-05-2009 10:18 PM

ya, it sounds amazing, definitely want to see dyno, and possibly hear it with the berk hfc's.

Berk may lose some valuable business with this exhaust being completed before theirs...

They already lost mine. I mean, I might still buy the HFCs, but this FI catback is exactly what I'm looking for in terms of sound. And since this car is my DD, I'm not going to stress over an extra few whp... so I'm not worried if this doesn't put out the best numbers.

Caravanshaka 07-05-2009 10:25 PM

Agreed, this is a great sound for a daily driver. Calm under normal driving, but has a great sound under WOT. It makes the car sound more expensive than it is :)

Togo 07-05-2009 10:25 PM

Wow that looks great and sounds great too. I'm interested to see what kind weight this thing is sporting. It looks like it could easily be same as stock or less!

tonmed123 07-05-2009 10:30 PM

Im sold

99 problems but an exhaust aint one!! When will the presale start? Can I order one tommorrow?

cotizi 07-05-2009 10:49 PM

looks good, pricing going to follow along the lines of the g37 system?

F.I. Inc. 07-05-2009 10:58 PM

Well,

It looks like someone beat me to it. Either way, enjoy...

DIGItonium 07-05-2009 11:16 PM

I love it! I never bought an aftermarket exhaust before. Believe it or not, my '03 350Z only had an OEM exhaust. I wanted to change things up with the 370Z by getting an aftermarket exhaust. The F.I. exhaust on the G37 sounded very nice, and the 370Z exhaust sound is way better than expected (overachievers! 8-D). The angle cut tips are superb and flow well with the rear bumper. No rasp!? Wonderful. The subdued or attenuated drone is definitely a welcome especially with the tire roar drowning the music. I never liked the exhaust drone in the 350Z. Can't wait to see what sort of gains we'll get since I don't have access to a dyno locally.

I'm definitely looking forward to HFC + TDX setup this month. :excited:

import111 07-05-2009 11:18 PM

Did you get a chance to weigh the exhaust before installing it? Looks and sounds amazing.

When I dyno the exhaust towards the end of this week I will weigh it. I am very confident that the TDX weighs less thean the stock exhaust.

I will also be posting a video from our dyno session.

Yeah, I saw your comment on youtube, (Nice) !

I am almost certian that the TDX will out perform our previous Intimidator. This exhaust was designed to give you as many pros as possible while trying to eliminate the cons!

Our HFC's will be discounted even further when being purchased with a cat back. Keep it all in one house. It is much easier that way.
