Tony,
FYI, I just drove from SOCAL to Southern Florida with the exhaust and she performed beautifully! Didn't bottom out once over 2700 miles! Great product and news for anyone with concerns about the TDX exhaust sitting too low to the ground. Take it easy! |

What a world of difference HFCs make in regards to exhaust loudness!
I had Berk HFCs and TDX with 12" resonators. The HFCs were swapped out for stock cats, and the exhaust is SOOO much quieter. At first I was afraid I would miss the growl of the exhaust, but all I had to do was give it more gas. The rasp isn't there anymore, and the smooth deep sound FI is known for is still there. :-) Power-wise, my butt doesn't feel a thing. So, PM me if anyone is interested in taking the Berk HFC off my hands. Tony, I'm sticking to 12" resonators. Happy Holidays!

Hang on...
So your running the FI system and pulled the HF Cats off and it still sounds good? How much of a power loss can we expect for going back to the stock cat's? Hate to sound like an old man but I wouldnt mind bringing the noise level down a notch or two if its not going to take away too much power. Second to that, the new LONG headers bypass the high flow cats don't they?

I haven't noticed much of a difference. Plus, I'm not much of a speed demon either. I'm able to listen to music while accelerating, and roughly the same loudness can be achieved if you give it plenty of throttle (no rasp). The drone is much quieter as well. To check to see if I was still hearing my exhaust, I lowered the windows and punched the throttle

It was delivered two Fridays ago. Hopefully I will be able to move the car to get it to a local Z guy's garage to install on Monday.
I'm snowed in at the moment and was caught out during the storm so it's uncovered. ;( Going to have to buy a shovel and some salt I guess. |

I know it's a lil late, but I want to show off the FI exhaust together with my wheels... in motion! So this is what people see when I'm on the road, eh?
