Here is my last vids of a canyon run in Cali.
I have the F.I. LTH's and CBE. Enjoy! First two are from dash mounted phone, 3rd is from GoProHD on rear bumper. |

And also for the new guys on the list, you'll want to invest in some of Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish. Works wonders on carbon build up. Here are some pics to show how well it restores the 'like new' look.

A few questions for you stemming from those videos:

1. I have not had a chance to get my Z tuned since having the mods on due to not being done with performance parts and I only wanna have to get it tuned once. (Still need to get my NST Pulleys and a Stillen Intake installed first.) But as for the Drone, NO it is not bad. Just like any exhaust it's in the 2800-3k RPM band. With the windows up it's fine, with the windows down its a nice rumble down the road. 2. As for the smell, I myself don't mind it and it is not 'that' strong unless you're standing right behind my car. Now the car behind me might get a faint hint of it if I'm revving at the light, but since this never happens I'm not worried. When you come up to a light though with the windows down, your draft will pull the exhaust to the front of the car so you'll get a nice scent of pure power every now and then. Unless you're standing at the back of the car in a closed area, the gasses are not a problem. 3. LoL No that's in Cali. Not my house at all. :( 4. Yeah, that one snuck up on me lol  I'd never driven that road before, so I think for a first time I didn't do too bad. I want to run it again now that I have a better suspension and better tires. :driving: |
Chris thanks for the vids! I was hoping for more portions where you flat out nail it to hear the exhaust open up but I get the picture. -1 for driving an auto... or at least it sounded very much like one :p
|
Just ordered mine. #380. SS with 18" res. Now I have to find a way to entertain myself for the next couple months while I wait.

Ah the nice scent of pure power every now and then :icon17: Great points as always Chris, hopefully you get the NST pulleys and belt soon. I have been tempted to pull the trigger on the LTHs for 2 months now and swap out the Berk cats; however, the fear of having to deal with emission issues and the cops have kept me on the sideline ... so far
Your setup has an awesome and exotic note  |

First part of the vids are taken from my GoPro so you can see where in the RPM band the exhaust is at. The 2nd part was taken with my phone. Sorry again for the audio. I'm working on getting a 2nd GoPro for better quality. First 2 runs are in 4th gear with the 3rd run in 5th. (And don't hate on the 7AT just because you can't shift as fast/cleanly :p ) :inoutroflpuke:  |

Also to help, here are my baseline and mid course dyno sheets.
It was on a Mustang Dyno, both runs. In AZ no less so heat suuuuucks. But from baseline to after the LTH and CBE install with Cobb MAF tubes and K&N Drop ins we see a gain of 35whp/20wtq. Not bad for not being finished yet, and not having a tune. Next planned mods, NST Pulleys, Stillen Gen III Intakes. (Unless Takeda finishes their CAI for the 370z. We shall see.. ) And the GTM GT-R Intake manifold if they ever make production runs. :p |
I emailed Tony yesterday and there is a delay. :(
He is planning on my exhaust to be shipped the 30th... I have waited 7 weeks, so 4 more wont kill me lol.... |
For all the guys on the list waiting, I know the wait is killing you. But once you have the exhaust bolted on and you fire it up for the first time, it won't matter how long you waited. That will be the last thought in your mind.
You'll be spending the rest of your time with a: http://boards.420chan.org/nc/src/1303574656120.jpg you can't seem to get rid of... :inoutroflpuke: |

My delay of mufflers and tips will be arriving August 25th. I have enough inventory of SS mufflers to take me until August 16-18th. I have plenty of tips. While we wait for the SS mufflers we will stay busy building the other components of the exhaust systems. This way once the mufflers arrive we can build the back half's in larger lots and ship more at once. After that initial shipment we should be just about back on track. If anyone on the list has any comments or concerns please do not hesitate to pm me or email me directly... Thank you, Tony |
Yup delay! Also talked to Tony today, and he was very straightforward about a one week delay, this will not discourage my excitement! not to mention my ceramic coated LTH extended my delivery date anyway...So i will wait patiently and expect to be totally satisfied with the F.I product.
P.S....Once i pay off my bill for the exhaust and LTH...look for me to post about my GTM SC stage 1 build!!! |

seems like im not doing something right. |
u don't even have to rub hard when using the mother's polish. Its AMAZING! I use it only on the inside of the tips. The outside I clean with windex.
|
I use the same mother's stuff and a microfiber towel, works great. Does require a bit of force if you've let it go too long and really build up.

Thanks for these posts, the system sounds awesome! At 1:18 in that first vid, **** gets ridiculous! And the reason I don't have an AT is because I CAN shift :p

Still patiently waiting on my non-res SS setup but in the meantime I went back to page 1 and read all the way back through 408...also doing the same on the LTH thread and almost done. Makes me want to ditch my HFCs for the LTHs those things are damn sexy
|
Can we get an update Tony?
|
Question - Someone on another thread said that a few months ago the FI exhausts were remade to allow for more room underneath for clearance, ex. lowering... Is this true? First ive heard and would annoy me a little since i just got mine in like May...
|
LOL nice question I was just about to post that one as well from reading the same thread.
|
Thats what I've heard from Tony about getting the exhaust to be legal in OZ with their clearance regulations. Nothing to be pissed about, its great news for everyone. I can't say enough good things about Tony and his products, he is an innovator and always trying to raise the bar and please his customers.
