warranty question...important help

Ok as my other thread shows..installed g3 intakes...1000 miles later my check engine light came on..now I've read a intake and exhaust are normal and minor modifications that they won't void the warranty unless they can prove it stemmed from that..the code read 0300...the guy said it's a bad coil..spark plug or spark wire that Is causing this random misfire..cleared the code and it came back on today..is there ANY way possible they can blame this kn the stillen g3 intakes? Only had the car for a year and don't wanna throw away my warranty..I have all the stock parts if I need to swap it out but really don't wanna do that if I don't have to..help..thanks

Most dealerships will do anything they can to avoid warranty work on a modified vehicle. Your code is most likely not related to the intake, but they could say it is, and most likely will:

Quote:

P0300 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

* Faulty spark plugs or wires
* Faulty coil (pack)
* Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
* Faulty fuel injector(s)
* Burned exhaust valve
* Faulty catalytic converter(s)
* Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
* Faulty camshaft position sensor
* Defective computer
Do you have an exhaust on the car as well? It could be caused by other mods to the vehicle that you didn't specify. Or it could be totally random - sensors go bad sometimes. It happens. Mybe you bumped something. 1000 miles is a long time for something to pop up.
