Does it really matter what brand you go with? I mean, they're all pretty similar right? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I was offered a good deal on Megan

Questions Regarding Test Pipes
Does it really matter what brand you go with? I mean, they're all pretty similar right? Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I was offered a good deal on Megan test pipes. Thanks in advance.

I would say no (save for ark pipes. if u are just wanting a straight tp, then a pipe is a pipe

You're paying for the resonators honestly, the Arks and the Motordyne Art Test pipes have weird, big arse resonators:
Ark: ARK PERFORMANCE INC: Pre Orders for 370z/G37 R-SPEC Testpipes and Hi Flow Cats I have some Megan resonated ones, and they are great... My 2 problems with them is that the O2 bungs are kinda short (I had mine extended and I put stainless steel wool inside them [and you can't extend them that much]), and the flange has one thread, so you use an OEM bolt to tighten that corner of the flange... Use a BIT of threadlocker, or tighten that biotch tight when you do it up |

Nope, or they're going to rape you to do so... Megan uses 304 stainless steel, and it is not easily weldable... I think you'll have space to put "J" bung ones from eBay or whatever. My guys welded a 1/2" extension that all muffler shops have lying around in case someone asks for another 02 bung or something like that...

Oh, and if you do decide to use steel wool, use 304 steel wool or something, you want something that won't rust... If you need some, PM me your name and address and I'll send you some

It's an exhaust system, meaning different parts yield different results!
Test pipes in genereal make the exhaust note louder! So if you're just adding test pipes to the stock setup then your fine with whatever. After adding those megans test pipes....save for a complete setup cause adding anything else it will start to rasp and sound like a$$...

I would recommend you put that on first and drive around see how you like it first.

It's really not a lot of work, I just took extra precautions not to get any CELs... And I don't think Stillen makes test pipes unless someone is lying to you, or they JUST got released |

The other thing, test pipes smell like DEATH... No more driving with your windows down (or at least when you get to a stop sign, roll them up and click recycle air, LOL) I have some Berk HFC's for sale if you want to go louder and get a little more HP |
