This is what should be used...

As you can see the whole area is cross layered inside, no "wrinkling" or "filler".
You also missed the other stainless steel flex pipe images found next to this on google images.

Does the DCRH have an inner shell in their flex pipe ? - 8th Generation Honda Civic Forum

This also helps the lines from collasping.

That makes sense to me actually. If the pipes didn't flex, this would have been much worse.

On another note, I spoke with the engineering company which is in charge of the road. He told me the bump was just two inches at its highest point. This is complete and utter ********... Also, he said (without ever seeing my car, nor knowing what car I drive) "you guys always drop your cars to the ground... I bet you couldn't even go through a parking lot without having the same exact problem." He then proceeded to offer to have a state trooper come and measure the height of my car to see if I comply with state law. He said I must be at least four inches off of the ground (I'm five inches off). As soon as he calls back I will gladly accept his offer.

Ya if your stock height your all good then. What an idiot I would have cut him off and told him bring porky on down. Here in the state of California you need to have your headlights at 21 inches from the ground to have a legal lowered car height. God this guys a real moron what if you drove a Vette or a Ferrari then what would you still be considered you guys. Also this guy obviously is not a car guy if he showed you no empathy.

Yea. Let me know how that goes. You can call me directly and I will do my best to make it so that you don't have to fork out too much out of your pocket. Either way your staying with an ARK exhaust so we will treat you like family.

I'd go to a muffler shop and have them weld some straight pipes in... Shouldn't cost more than like $80, and that's a high IMO...
If you didn't have flex pipes you probably would've just scraped? No?
The Stillen I know doesn't have any flex pipes, which WAS weird to me, but whatever, all the rubber hangers take the abuse and sock and vibration and movement from the engine

Edit: NOT trying to bash Ark in any way, the Ark Grip V2 is one of THE NICEST exhausts I have heard for the Z, I wish I knew about it before I bought my exhaust

Never heard of this before. I have the ARK Grip V2 and I'm lowered on Swifts. I go over speed bumps perfectly fine...

I was fine over speed bumps. I went back and measured it with the supervisor of the engineering company and the bump was four inches at its highest. Going 25 over that isn't really good...

Just needs to be readjusted.. All the bolts and nuts need to be loosened, adjusted, held in place and then retightened.. I believe you should start from the back to the front (not sure)
