The Invidias are too small for me.

I'm looking at Greddy ($1500), Motordyne ($1700) or ARK DTS ($1800?) are my choices.

So i think I'm going to grab the ark grip exhaust

Anyone have this exhaust? Any fitment issues??
Someone told me right side hangs lower than left

Get the hks or mxp exhaust

Garageline exhaust has burnt tips. I just received one and its very high quality. I will be installing and dynoing on the 24th if you want to just wait and see if thats a route that you might want to consider.

:twocents:I have the 1st generation ark exhaust or wjat is known as the grip. The best way for me to describe it is that the carnow sounds the way it should have been when it leaves the dealershil. Sounds like a true sportscar! My right side can hangs about a inch more than driverside, but it doesnt bother me. I think its a 10 out of 10 imho. Might be getting hfc's from ark in dec.

imwazn 11-12-2012 01:57 PM

^^you can also adjust for that, it just takes awhile to get it just right.

I have the Ark DT-S exhaust. It has burnt tips, no fitment issues. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Dts has the muffler cans welded together. The grip is almost a "true" dual exhaust. It utilizes a x pipe type crossover whole the dts has both cans together. Thats why there wasnt any fitment issues.

lookin good, im goin to have to jack up the back, jack the $h!t out the exhaust to get the passenger side lookin like that.

Zoren 370 11-12-2012 07:33 PM

One cool thing about this exhaust as they heat up it goes out farther from the rear bumper you could actually read the whole marking "ARK" on the burnt tips. I think the metal expands to heat.

Once cooled down it will go backwards to its original position. Do this happen to your Ark too? Next time I'll take pictures of the difference.

I got a z1 HFC which to me looks like exactly as the BerK HFC. Sound is louder and solid. I wanted the ARK HFC but too damn expensive.

roy'sz 11-12-2012 07:59 PM

I noticed my driver side sticks out farther than passenger side bt both times I looked was when the exhaust was hot. Thanx for the tip on Z1 being cheaper lol.

I get a little bit of a rasp when im full throttle and at about 6k. Will hfc's fix that? How did you like it when the z1 hfc's?

Zoren 370 11-12-2012 09:32 PM

I still get some rasp at high RPM's but not as much. With the HFC it made the sound much solid and louder.
I noticed the car is much faster and its crazy after having the set up I always wanted to drive the Z hard its addicting!!
Still have not tuned the car...maybe with uprev and dyno I can squeeze some more Hp.
Im taking it one step at the time. Wallet is already burning.

JUST WAIT TIL YOU TUNE...I can only imagine.

OHH MAN..

If you don't have a tune, look up where you can get 100 octane and buy some of that. It will give you 10-15hp and will make your car feel like its tuned haha!

boilermaker1 11-14-2012 06:36 PM

Just got the invidia gemini installed, it's a great sounding CBE for me. It's definitely a more subdued looking and sounding exhaust. I guess I'm at that point where I don't want a crazy amount of noise like those civics with huge canisters...guess that's a part of getting older. :rofl2:

pseftis 11-18-2012 11:54 PM

Ended up going with ark grip exhaust.. On its way! Thx fredbean! :)

Zoren 370 11-19-2012 01:03 AM

Congratulations! Good choice.
