Exhaust Tone (Ark, FI, Invidia)
Hi guys,
I know exhausts aren't subwoofers but maybe we can use bass as a reference, i.e. clean vs muddy? Anyway, I've heard FI Res in person and like the FI's deep bass tone. It sounds pretty clean, not muddy. So, from the folks that have run these other setups, would you say the bass is deep? And if yes, is it a clean or muddy sound? Assuming stock cats unless HFC/TPs are noted. Ark DT-S Ark GripV2 FI Non Res Invidia Yep I've listened to tons of vids. Can't really tell with the vids. |

Ark exhaust all day. Bassy but can really scream in the high rpms. Have heard both fi and ark with stock cats and with fi headers and honestly I prefer my setup to any I have heard. Ark is also the cleanest sounding exhaust. Its so pure and lovely.

I kind of like all of them, but ended up going with the Invidia Gemini. I've installed a good 6 or 7 Invidia exhausts and know they have great quality products, plus it was MUCH cheaper than the other two options for me. I have that plus the FI HFC's and it sounds awesome. No drone really, no terrible rasp, and barely hear a hiss on decel.

I want the bass but would like the cleanest/punchy tone. Also recently listened to track vids from martin82 with dt-s and it does sound deep but clean. Tapatalk & such etc |

Would you say invidia's bass tones are clean or more rough/distorted? Not that either is bad, just trying to gauge what tonal effect is produces. Tapatalk & such etc |
