this exhaust system is currently available on the G37, hence it has the same engine...so maybe Fast Intentions will make one for the Z.

here is a video clip

Edit: HTML is off, how can anyone experience the joy of an exhaust clip????

and some pics

so, ponder on this while I try and find some dyno sheets...lol...and don't forget to give me some rep points...

Sure,

First of all, the idea of having carbon wrapped anything is pointless. Carbon should be used to reduce weight, not to make things look pretty. Nothing wrong with it looking pretty in the process of shedding weight. Those are just carbon sleeves around a metal canister.

Secondly, it is great that its a true dual, but the lengths are unequal, which could be a good thing or a bad thing.

I dont like the way the resonators dont seem to flow with the rest of the exhaust, they are just welded on there. Looks like they dont fit together. Also, 4.5" tip with 2" or 2.5" piping the rest of the way, why not just make it as free flowing as possible and make it all 3 or 4". The tips look like they just bought them at autozone.

It just doesnt look smooth to me, looks hacked together from different components and I'm sure they charge a good chunk of change for that. Truth is I could go to my local muffler shop and have them build me the same thing. Then I can make it heavier and more expensive by adding carbon sleeves.

Wow,

You must not know anything about my company nor our exhaust systems. First of all, what resonators are you referring to? The resonated X Pipe in the center?

2) Our exhaust system is 2.5" all the way through. Those tips are 4.5" on the outside however they have a 2.5" core. This exhaust system has been finely tuned for the 350/G35/G37 and I can guarantee you when it is released for the 370Z you will want one!!!

If you don't like the Carbon Fiber, that is why we have the round stainless steel version.

To put the issue to bed, the Carbon Fiber is not an overlay, it is the actual case to the muffler. The muffler weighs just over 1 pound and IMHO it blows Titanium away. The exhaust DOESNOT leak out of the end caps. The design is perfected and these mufflers are on hundreds of different vehicles.

The tips are anything but Autozone. You shouldn't be so quick to criticize especially without seeing the products in person. We use only the best quality products for all of our components. We have done so for over 9 years.

To sit hear and say that a true dual mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust (Carbon Fiber) system should be around $800.00 is a pipe dream! You must have no idea as to what goes in to the build process or the time. Compared to the other high end exhaust systems, $1,429.00 is very reasonably priced.

Look, I have no intentions of coming here and making enemies, my goal is to build all of you a superior exhaust product. Just don't be so quick to judge us or our products when you know nothing about them or us and especially with the reputation that I have worked so hard to build on the previous cars.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me...

Thank you, Tony

the shop said it is not Carbon sleeves, the canister is really made from CF.

it is full of bends at the muffler section but the rest is pretty straight forward

here is a pic of the CF exhaust

and here is a pic of the stainless canisters

Ask them what the weight difference of the two is. Also whats the weight difference versus stock.

From here the build quality looks pretty good. How do the carbon canisters seal on the ends? It seems there's very few screws, and they are radial screw holes, which usually doesn't provide for a good seal (certainly never did on my motorcycle exhausts, which were FMF and such, not el cheapo stuff).

Agreed, there must be something we are missing. Those little screws would not be able to hold it together and keep it from leaking. Hmm

Carbon just isnt good for exhaust components either...

1) The mufflers are full CF

2) The resonators don't stand out that much in person. It's just the angle along with the camera flash that makes them so obvious.

3) Why would anyone do 3" exhaust piping on a naturally aspirated car? And 4" piping? ...not even high powered turbo cars have the need for that.

4) The exhaust looks anything but cheap. The whole design just looks very classy, which was one of the reasons why it was such a big hit on the G35 community.

You really need to see/hear the exhaust in person. That doesn't mean everyone will like the design, but its just a quality exhaust. (The welds are also superb).
