Cnt exhaust vs New Top speed cbe

Both are in the same price range just wondering which is better in terms of performance, quality, and noise. Love to here some opinions and reviews.

I love my cnt, but tbh they are both probably comprable in quality. the top speed doesnt have rolled metal on the tips so it doesnt look as finished to me. i doubt u could go wrong either way

I had a top speed. It sounded great. I heard the CNT in person and that sounded great. I'd also have to agree with the comment above mine.

AlanManouk 08-23-2012 01:59 PM

which one would you guys recommend?

edub370 08-23-2012 02:11 PM

cnt only because i have one.

or, flip a coin. they are going to be VERY similar in quailty and style. the cnt has a beautiful sound, but i don't know enough about the top speed system to speak much about it

Efub, I was thinking bout gettin that cnt exhaust. Did u feel any power gains? I love how it sounds but im curious about performance. Lemme kno

ya, the top end really opened up on my car (remember i also have test pipes). but this exhaust coupled with a tune will give you a nice power bump

The Z monster 08-23-2012 03:54 PM

Yeah I'll need a tune. So much dang $$. I heard fast intentions LTH and CBE for the first time in person the other day. Sounded great. I wanna hold out for that but it so much $$$

AlanManouk 08-23-2012 04:16 PM

I've heard the new topspeed cbe in person sounds great imo. Would love to hear the cnt

Edub, do you have or have you seen/heard CNT's long tube headers or know anything about them?

I went on CNT's website. They're on there. Unless that website is really old and they don't make them anymore.

I know there was a guy on here that got good results with the single pipe TS exhaust, hopefully the dual will have similar results. I have been endlessly searching but have been unable to find anyone who has dynoed with the CNT or the new TS, I think anything above 10whp makes both these units and extreme value. Had a TS on my 350z and it sounded great, but JHC was it loud. Just wondering why these companies would not do a dyno for advertising unless the results suck, but regardless you are adding good sound!

Recently purchased and installed the Top speed true dual stainless CBE on my 2009....The unit is well made with beefy flanges..alittle roughly finished on the edges of the flanges but well finished faces. All components fit well. Nice welds. Easy to install. The granade type secondary resonators above the mufflers do a great job at cutting drone. This concept being used by several manufactuers is a great option. No fitment problems with my Eibach sways or rear brace rods. As for the vapor canister protective shield that others have had to remove...I just trimmed the corner. The sound is really impressive...It got better with break in. Power comes on at approx 3000 rpm and continues up from there. Definitely no complaints concidering the $500 price tag...Wouild surely recommend...Would like in time ck out the CNT unit...heard excellent expiriences with that unit. Either of these units are breaking the price barriers that have existed with well made dual stainless CBE..I think we all welcome the options. All the best with what ever unit purchased.
