**** is LOUD. raspy, too. I kinda like the rasp (and it seems to have gone down in intensity a bit) but it's too much for me to be able to drive normally. last thing I want is a trumpet right next to a cop as I merge onto a faster road.

Here's the video for reference.

I'll try to get a video today. I'm just glad this isn't my daily anymore lol. Not that it sounds bad, I think it sounds amazing! But DDing this would be brutal.

I drive my zed as a weekend car and it can get pretty brutal. I still love it, but I'll be moving to a catback.

(gonna keep the short tails so I can test the midpipe prototype! )

I actually thought it would be a lot more raspy to be honest. It's pretty smooth to me. There is actually a point cruising at 3k where I can get the car to almost be silent if I have to

My powerband looks (sounds) like...

1k--->3k deep bassy V8 rumble

3k--->4.5k blatttt punchyouintheface brutality

4.5k--->7k racecar scream

In summary, if there is a cop within a mile radius of you while you're over 4.5k with this setup... good luck lol

Do you think a competent exhaust shop can custom make me an Hpipe?

Thumbs up I'm interested and would buy ..

I currently have the Ark Grip. Hate how low it sits at the cans area. Inquired to see if the short tails could mate/fit the existing mid pipe if I just got the short tails and eliminated the Ark rear exhaust.

Response I got was no. Could not find any company that makes a mid pipe from the cat - back and ends at the stock location .

1. I want short tails
2. Need catback-mid section that will fit the short tails.
3. Don't want to run the smallish stock piping just to run the short tails.

I'm getting my FI LTH soon and would want to run the same size piping or bigger than stock and use the short tails. I would want 12 inch resonators or none on my mid pipe and use short tails. BTW I don't care if it's loud. I'm tired of my car being so damn quiet with the ark. I can't even hear my car in my videos at the track. I got every other car drowning out the sound of my car :-(

Right, that's the whole purpose of this build actually

Are you currently on stock cats? Replacing the stock cats with anything other than the stockers will dramatically increase exhaust volume, and change the exhaust note

Hey Khoi,
I was wondering what is the biggest resonators we can fit in the mid pipe so that if we go high flow cats with short tails and this new mid pipe/x or h pipe it won't be raspy or hissy just deep and very true and clean to the VQ sound. Also I was wondering why not a X pipe won't that give better flow patterns and get more exhaust out. Thanks

Default Eta?

Khoi, can we get an ETA on the mid pipe? Also has the short tails been dyno tested? Is there an increase in whp other than just sound? How much WHP was gained with everything else stock and just the short tails?

Also, check PM

Do you have that as your DD?

Anyone have a (quality) video with the short tails and resonated test pipes?!

I saw one on youtube but he put the camera directly in front of the tips, so it was all distorted.
