Default Which of these gaskets should i use? Installing XYZ Y-pipe

Im installing my XYZ y-pipe and im wondering which gasket i should use to connect to the cats. The one from the shop that put on my HFCs? or the one that motordyne sent me. Or both?

This first gasket(s) was installed with my HFCs about 2 weeks ago. The silver one is towards the rear. The multi-layered copper gasket is getting burned.

This is what motordyne sent me for the cat and midpipe connections. Are these supposed to be used in addition to other gaskets?

Lastly here is the old gasket from my stock Ypipe/midpipe connection. Looks toast

Thanks for any help as im halfway through my install.

Use whichever one looks the most durable But only use one.

The silvery colored dimpled ones burn up pretty quickly in my experience.

Did the shop use 2 for some reason?

Also the motordyne gaskets are pliable.

Motordyne changed what they were using, the old ones were the silver colored dimpled ones and lasted a matter of days. You can try the new ones out and see if they work better. At least on the Y-pipe side of the cat the temperature is slightly lower than the header side.

Thanks again. I'm putting the MD gaskets on now. I'll update tomorrow.

Yes, just use the Motordyne gaskets. The other gaskets shown are the wrong size.

My test run today was GREAT! The motordyne gaskets were a perfect fit and absolutely no leaks. I LOVE the XYZ. After replacing my stillen y-pipe the rattle or rasp that i was hearing in the stillen cats is gone. My wife didnt understand why i would spend the extra money until she heard it. It sounds awesome! I'll post some comparison vids when I get a chance.
Thanks to Chris Steve and Tony.
