Sub'd b/c air filters need replacing.

Why? Since you already have the K&Ns there isn't much point. Unless you are tired of re-oiling them when you clean them. The only benefit of switching to the Pro Dry is you would simply wash with water/let dry/slap back on the car.

I just need new air filters and am interested to know if there are any differences. I'm leaning toward the Pro Dry S since there is no oiling involved.

I run a AFE filter in my truck... done great for the first 50k miles and its real nice to be able to hose it down, let it dry and your good to go..

AFE dry filters are easier to clean and maintain and you don't have to worry about re/over-oiling. We have it for my wife's STi. If they made it for the GT-R, I'd get a pair for it too.

Forum member 6MT replaced the K&N conical ones with AFE for his Stillen Gen2.
