Default 2.5" Mid pipe

I currently have the eBay y pipe which has inside diameter of 2.5" as well as the AAM short tail (also 2.5"). Is there any after market mid pipe that can bolt onto the y pipe and AAM configuration? It'd be nice to have 2.5" all the way across.

Any ideas/comments welcome. Thanks!

Last resort is have a exhaust/muffler shop fabricate a pipe with resonator which may get expensive.

But that's the thing.. I have yet to see any cat back that give excellent clearance like AAM shorties. Plus the sound is pretty addicting. With the y pipe its even deeper.

There's gotta be another alternative!

I can tell you right now if you stick with a 2.5" mid pipe without resonators there's going to be a lot of rasp going on. Not only that, the drone will be crazy. Two options; 1. Have a mid pipe made up without resonators and then use exhaust (header) wrap to eliminate some of the drone and rasp. 2. Have a mid pipe made up with resonators (still will have a little rasp depending on the resonators you use).

I'm actually going to be doing exhaust cutouts on my Invidia Gemini. They will go on right after the resonators and the X-pipe. It should keep that VQ sound, just a lot louder and deeper.

Look at the Tanabe exhaust. It has great clearance. The cans sit high in the rear

Still would have to be customized to fit the AAM short tails.

Ah, didn't see that part. I know the mid pipes are very similar to stock, but they probably don't match

Unfortunately I'm starting to run out of options. It seems it may be a better idea to just go with a mid pipe back to tag along with my ebay Y pipe if I want to have the 2.5" from cat converters all the way back.

Well if you looking for options, here is a link of pics I just posted of mine. The tips look like yours. It's no fun plunking exhaust money when you have 3/4 of it already.
