First off try using the search function.

Secondly get Fast Intentions LTH's and CBE.

Want the most hp go with F. I. Exhaust. If u want a very unique & destinctive exhaust sound go with GTHAUS Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust. I'm pretty sure you can tell what route I went with my sig.

True. As I have stated numerous times that GTHAUS claims that their Meisterschaft full cat-back exhaust puts out b/w 20-30hp. I would personally go for sound.

IMO the sound of the GTHaus and FI are just different. Yes the GTHaus is louder but in terms of the sound itself they're just different. FI is low and throaty where as the GtHaus is more F1 sounding.

Once the exhausts go straight through, short of utter moronism in the design, they will all make about the same.

Don't forget the Motordyne E370 for sound as well

You know I was curious about this as well. I was considering LTH but I can just get test pipes, which are easier to install, cost less, and can be removed if I need my cats back on.

In terms of performance, I can't imagine them being too much different. I'm sure the LTH will be better as they converge later causing better airflow, but I'd be willing to bet it's not a huge impact (single digit WHP). In which case I'll just take the hit and put test pipes on.

With F.I. and Motordyne, you have the option of having HFC's on the exhaust. I have the Motordyne XYZ Y pipe. Allows me to run with a cat, resonated, or straight. Price and install are the only drawbacks to headers. They will sound better, look better, and make more power than any pipe coming off the stock shorties (excluding forced induction). Expect at a minimum 30 whp gain with exhaust and headers. Compared to a test pipe, it might make 5-10whp with 10 being a stretch. I gained 30whp over stock untuned and with a busted O2 sensor running a HFC with my LTH's and CBE.

Point is, if you can find a set of LTH's at a decent deal, I recommend to jump on it.

You really think converging later gives you 20 WHP, that seems like a lot... I always thought the HP increase was more to the elimination of the cats than the convergence point.

You should check out the ART pipes, they keep the rasp out of it and do give proven gains over standard test pipes, almost eliminating the low end loss from normal test pipes.

Usually, headers just give some high end, otherwise there's not much in them for a road car, and as you say, no good for inspection time. Not to mention the pain accessing the header area.

There is a little gain by having things like cats further down stream, but in this case, there is a merge point optimum, the y-pipe portion of the Motordyne system has had the merge point dyno tuned until the optimum power *and* torque is achieved at that stage of the exhaust.
