It's common on 2009-Early 2012 Models. Mine being early 2012, I had to bend the heat shield back so that the Mufflers are not touching/scraping it. Washers were added to level out the exhaust. Not necessary that everyone will have to, but it's common.

I lucked into a used FI Non-Res CBE set from a guy that decided to part out his car and sell it. Other than a few minor dings and scratches, it was in great shape! Called up the guys at FI and got all new gaskets and hardware sent and I installed it 2 days ago. Wow what a fantastic sounding exhaust! You can watch a 100 videos on YouTube, but hearing it in person is the only way to do it justice. I would also echo what other have said about the customer service at FI. They are very helpful and friendly, I will definitely be using them for future mod purchases.

I am just a few short weeks away from the completion of my FI CF CBE (18" Resonated) and RHFCs and am having JWT Pop Chargers and the Z1 Plenum installed at the same time. An Uprev tune will be performed at the same time.
I think a few people have a similiar setup, but I am wondering how the Pop Chargers will affect the sound? On a side note: I know that the JWT Pop Chargers aren't the best intake in regard to power gain, but I think there would be at least some benefit with this setup. Is this wishful thinking? I also have the Seibon GTR style hood, which to my surprise the small vents are functional in the sense that my oil temps have stayed lower even especially when moving on hot days so far. I would think that this would benefit the Pop Chargers and thus the exhaust. Any opinions one way or the other? |

They even emailed me a PDF of the install instructions. It's an awesome exhaust backed by even better customer service.

Hey for reference to all those who have scraped off the bottom of their exhaust cans...
The axle-back portion of the FI system is $600 + ship. I know because both my exhaust cans have holes in them. AND IM AT OEM HEIGHT.

Do you have pictures of this? It looks like the cans hang pretty low, but FI says same as the stock exhaust tubes in that area. I'd hate to drop $1300 on an exhaust that could be easily damaged at OEM ride height! Sounds amazing though.

You wont have any issues. The gen 1 system required you to be a bit more careful but with the gen 2 its not that low at all especially at stock height.
